Steve H is not only a very nice guy, he is really an amazing teacher... Please, I am waiting for a second part more focused on the process of scoring!! Please!!!

As far as i go watching steve h tutorials i realise that i'm felling like the guy who found the big love and as days pass by he gets absolutely convinced that it's just what he was looking for the whole life. form tunisia with love 

I recently got a call from a filmmaker who wanted me to compose some music for his film and I had to learn how to use Logic's music-for-picture feature quickly. This tutorial helped me to do just that. Concepts are explained clearly and simply and the video is filled with all kinds of cool tips to help facilitate your work. I would highly recommend this tutorial to anyone who wants to learn how to score music for film.

As an absolute amateur in the field of music-to-picture these tutorials have proved invaluable. Showing features that will dramatically improve any of your projects. Fantastic tutorial! All of the details people need to seriously start writing music to picture. The combination of priceless tips and tricks along with a vast amount of technical detail under a an easy going atmosphere meant that my attention was captured and simply undivided. I would purchase all of Horelick's tutorials if i wasn't a poor student! For now though i will continue to watch this tutorial over and over again until my eyes hurt. Thanks Steve

Excellent tutorial. Its delivered at a pace that sometimes challenges the attention span (but no doubt perfect for absolute newbies) and it's a bit overwrought on the bedside–chat-gee whiz-let's-nurture-you-through-this tone ( the jokes sound scripted and are delivered all too earnestly…) but hey, those are relatively nit picky. The big stuff is there: solid knowledge, a genuinely amiable tone that makes it easy to keep watching and a good variety of examples. Yep. Two thumbs up.

As an Apple Certified Logic Pro 9 Trainer, i am very particular about each training method i come across. I must say Steve Horelick has an excellent understanding of the Logic Pro application and a good presentation technique.Informative and Entertaining, well done Steve.

This was really quite good, but I was hoping for more information about the score editor for writing music for musician to play to record for picture. But maybe there is already a tutorial on that?

Great stuff here ! I have never worked with film before and now I'm having at it with Steve s great new tutorial. Everyone hates the little details until you need them to put it all together and Music-for-Picture Toolbox has made a dummy like me actually able to score a movie ! Hear that Disney call me ...555-5555 ....

There is a lot of great stuff in this tutorial. It is a little chatty, but that won't stop me from giving it 5 stars. I agree that a Part II would be welcome!

Another great, enjoyable Tutorial from Steve H. Things i knew, things i didn't, better ways to do things i am already doing. I have purchased lots of MPV Tutorials over the years and honestly, if i learn just ONE thing from any of them (and of course i always learn more than that) these Tutorials are more than worth the small cost. If only to hear Steve make the kind of lame but lovable jokes my Dad makes. For perspective, my Dad is 80. And i second Dave Duffus' thought for a "Part 2". It would be very welcome

Steve H is brilliant as always. I'd love to see a "part 2" go even further, delving into techniques for dialogue replacement, industry standards for film/video/DVD mixing levels and workflow with Final Cut Pro and SoundTrack Pro (boy, have I learned a few nasty lessons the hard way there). But the best part... the Uranus pun, as predictable as it was, gave me the biggest belly-laugh I've had in a long time. Took me five minutes to recompose myself. :-)

I thought this tutorial series was right on. It had lots of good info about stuff I didn't know how to do, and also stuff I didn't know I didn't know. The methodology was clear and pretty bombproof and I just used it scoring a documentary. Major highlights: tempos, and how to derive them using the tempo ops. including beat mapping to scenes. MIDI hits synced to SMPTE markers using the event list. one cue per project - this was amazing, and much easier than I thought it would be, and way better than battling with everything in one project. excellent.

I feel like I went from 0 to Hero with this tutorial! Everything was explained beautifully. I was glued to my screen. Another killer tutorial from Steve H!

Overall, this is a really great tutorial. Steve H presents some really great tips that aren't found in the manual or anywhere else.

BRILLIANT!!! That's all I really need to say to be honest. I have several MacProVideo titles but this is the video tutorial I've been waiting for. It was truly worth the wait.
