Having decided to try Apple Motion I turned to Macprovideo to see what tuts they had on Motion. Great. I purchased the Motion 4 Core by Michael Wohl as it covered start to finish etc. I've found these so easy to follow. His teaching is easy on the eye and the ear. I will now be purchasing his Motion 5 series to bring me unto speed. These tuts are great. They are able to get you from A to B with ease. Recommend them to anyone who's looking to get up to speed with Apple Motion.

Had been working with FCP for a while and hadn't gotten around to checking out motion. Wish I had and would have saved much time and had better results. The tutorial was GREAT. Excellent tutorial from Michael. Witty and very helpful. If you don't know how to use this app it can be quite daunting. This tutorial takes the fear factor away! Motion is a great tool for spicing up your Final Cut movies and you can use it on several levels. Michael shows you how! Well done.

The tutorials are fine, clear and precise. However, like all video tutorials, they would be immensely helped by a printed version of the commentary so that one could return to certain passages while trying our the various techniques on one's own time. I believe that many would pay some modest extra sum for this addition. And it needn't cost much to provide. After all, you already have the scripted text and you could just put it on a PDF.

Starting out in computer graphics, this tutorial was easy to follow and logical. No fancy words. Another good point was that the cursor was always highlighted, so it was easy to track around the screen, something missing from other tutorials. A good tutorial to start you off in the world of Motion 4

I really enjoyed this tutorial. Finally a tutorial that I did not need a lot of information about the program before I learn about the program. I highly recommend this tutorial.

If you are going to edit with FCS Core motion 4 is a must to spice up you video. A super tutorial.

Very good introduction to Motion 4! I am a brand new user of Final Cut 7 and did little more than open Motion 4 to make a lower 3rd title prior to watching this MacProVideo training. I have the Motion 4 Peach Pit book, but that takes a lot of time and effort and is collecting dust on my bookshelf because I was intimidated by that level of training. Core Motion 4 has given me a strong foundation from which to dive into a deeper level of understanding and experience of Motion 4. I now feel more confident and motivated to use Motion 4 to its potential.

By itself, this is great training IF............ you Have never dived into Motion before version 4. This title will due you great justice. If you have seen any of the previous videos from MacProVideo on Motion (Motion 2/3) this video seems redundant. NO new material and not really many new projects. Its very basic and Since I have seen the others The only thing I got from this one was the new features overview. This is really just a rehash of old videos. Good for the beginner not so good for the experienced user. I wish they would of used newer content or made it project based. Ive seen Mike W. Do that same particle emitter demo on lots of his other videos. MacProVideo has great stuff, this just isnt there shinning light. Other than that, its laid out nice, well spoken and explained in a well timed and easy to follow manner. Very high production quality. You can tell this video wasnt cheapened out on, its just I really would like to see some project based training on motion instead of the same old "whats a behavior" chapter showing us the throw behavior and spin/vertex. I am looking forward to 102 or 201. Im not sure how the naming scheme will go. But I cant wait because Im assuming it will be a little more in depth than this.
