Celebrate ten years of Absynth with these tell-all, expose videos that explore this Native Instruments soft synth's every intimate detail. Watch and see why this updated virtual synth is the Go To instrument for the top synthesists and sound designers all over the world!
Absynth does just about every kind of synthesis available on Planet Earth, including: Additive, Subtractive, FM, Wavetable, Granular, Morphing and Sampling. It also comes fully loaded with a multitude of filters like the Supercomb, Cloudfilter and the Aetherizer. In fact, Absynth 5 does such weird-and-wild, whacked out alien stuff that we at mPV are convinced that its "code" had to originate from a galaxy far, far away. To confirm our suspicions, we've sent out an mPV Interplanetary NED to explore the possibilities.
A soft synth of this complexity needs a really clear and grounded trainer. That's why we chose our most down-to-earth, in-house, expert educator, Scott Freiman, to tame this aural beast! Who else but Scott could make sense of Absynth's 68-stage envelope generators and its 1800 sounds and effects settings?!
In this very deep tutorial, Scott leaves no knob unturned! First, he takes you on a journey through the history of Absynth from its groundbreaking beginnings to its present day configuration. From there he's off and running, uncovering Absynth's plethora of advanced features and its new easy-to-use Mutator sound generation technology. He covers the browser, its internal effects, spectrum editing, its matrix of modulators, the macros, audio modulation and lots, lots more. In fact, we at macProVideo.com guarantee that there isn't an Absynth tutorial like this one anywhere in the universe!
So plug in to this Scott Freiman video masterpiece and see why Absolute Absynth is absolutely the most awesome, authentic, au courant authority on NI's audadious audio soft synth: Absynth!

Scott Freiman is master of all things Native Instruments. His tutorials are the best!!!!
Scott did a great job explaining pretty much everything about Absynth. Lots of live examples and tips to get you making interesting sounds in no time.
Thanks, Scott. Your tutorials are always very clear and quite helpful. I just upgraded to Komplete 9 from Komplete 5. For the past 5 years, I have been in preset-itus but no longer thanks to MPV:-)
Sit down, turn off your phone, grab your notebook and start this tutorial! It takes forever, but it is essential to gain some basic knowledge in this really complex synth. Good luck!
Absynth's 5.1 browser doesn't look like this anymore. I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out why mine looked different. Notes about changes of appearance/updates would be helpful and relevant.
Excellent overview of all the features of Absynth. Very in depth and complete resource.
Wow! The instructor is very knowledgeable about Absynth and the amount of material in this course is overwhelming. Good job!
Awesome! So much detail but easy to understand. I knew Absynth was amazing but now I see why.
awesome staff! thank you.
Very good, very thorough, clear and understandable. Covers all aspects of Absynth leaving you to use what was taught to learn by doing and testing the methods yourself.
I needed to know this synth inside out, I found various tutorials across the internet - some good some not so good. But NONE are in the same league as this; let me repeat that - NONE ARE IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS THIS. This tutorial is truly amazing; it helps to uncover the mysteries of this extremely complex synth and it does this very well. Obviously, you will still have a lot to learn but if you experiment in conjunction with following this tutorial you will have this synth nailed!
These tuition videos are excellent Scott is clear, concise and calm making the learning experience positive and enjoyable Good work
Funny how the only poor review had to do with a user's computer. This review series is absolutely amazing! I watch their tutorials before adopting any new weapons in my musical arsenal. Truly genius.
great tutorial! thank you.
Excellent Course, Scott walks you through every aspect of the synth. I am no longer daunted by all of Absynth's features. If you want to know this synth inside and out watch this video. Top notch.
The course is excellent and covers all the relivant parts of Absynth you need to use the tool to a high level in your sound design. The only problem with the course, and its a big one, is that you cant download HD videos using Windows 7 64bit which i find totally rediculous. Because of this i have asked for a refund and, sadly, will not be purchasinbg any other video courses from MPV. Such as a shame as their tutorials are amongst the best out there and it seems odd to me, especially when most of their video tutorial courses are cross platform that they decide to ignore a high percentage of Windows users. Mac elitism at its worst? maybe not but just a word of warning, you can still stream the courses if your using W7 64bit BUT the videos are too small and pretty grainy to boot. thanks Mark
Superb!!! thank you! do the same thing for FM8 MASSIVE and REAKTOR please!!!
Im so impressed with this tutorial.Very professional piece of work! I hope Scott decides on a Reaktor 5 tutorial.
Most of the time, some of us think we know everything, using a lot of softsynths and synths makes us link the similarities between one synth and other and being Absynth a superb fine synth I realized I just used very few tools of this monster. This great tutorial drops you to the basics and Pro you up in a hour or more. My learning in softsynths is mostly the presets more than the manual, this is more than just "tips" or a simple tutorial. Knowing Native Instruments capabilities, I hope for a Reaktor 5.5 full DVD from you. Thanks.
This tutorial was very interesting and I have learned a lot. I would like to see a new tutorial on Reaktor 5 by Scott Freiman. Thanks
Excellent work, what a great tutorial ! Again by Scott. Waiting for Reaktor 5.5 "in-depth" tutorial. Best regards.
At last I understand what's happening under the hood of Absynth! Very clear and progressive approach, a good tutorial. I am going to use Absynth from now on in a completely different manner. Christopher
For sure a five star tutorial. I learned more in one week than all the years I have tried to use this program. I made new sounds which I used on a recent performance. How about Absolute Absynth 304 Thank you.
Great in-depth presentation of this incredible synthesizer. I keep coming back to this tutorial for new ideas!
Very happy to see this tutorial! Really well done by Scott, well paced, clearly explained, knowledgeable.
Love the tutorial. Scott Freiman's tutorials are of high quality. I'm also looking forward for his future tutorials. Luc
This is simply the best Absynth Tutorial I´ve seen so far, same quality as the teachers other tutorials, thank you... Waitung for the MASCHINE- TUTORIAL by Scott Freiman
