Firstly, I'm still working through this tutorial so this review is very much a 'first impressions'. I am only writing it becasue these first impressions are often accurate.

I'll get the bad news over first. This refers only to the sound examples I've heard (esp. sequencer and MIDI file lessons). These sound to me to be raqther unpleasant and more 'noise' than that which I regard as music. To me 'glitch' is a lazy person's music and has little artistic merit. I realise of course that younger ears (and mouthes) will disagree with this but this video is (I would assume) supposed to be catering for all ages.

That's the only bad. The lessons and descriptions are simply wonderful. The pacing and level of detail are superb and, for me, go a long way towards showing me that I didn't know what I didn't know. Things that seem so obvious when demonstrated may not have been thought of (even after the dreaded (and much procrastinated) reading of the manual).

I love what I've been able to do with Kore. This tutorial shows (and demonstrates) how it can do far more and has increased the value of Kore to a degree WAY above the asking price of the lessons.

Unless you're a Kore genius, buy it. If you're a Koer genious you may STILL pick up some useful points.

The best part about the videos from macprovideo.com is that you are often taken into places in the software that you would not have explored on your own. The tutorials are comprehensive and inspire creativity as you learn new uses for the tools you own but otherwise wouldn't have fully understood how to use.

Just what I needed! I recently began using KORE and KOMPLETE 5. I Have the tutorials for both and I am very pleased with how easy they are to follow and how well thought out they are.

Thank you MacProVideo for producing a great tutorial on Native Instruments KORE 2.
This tutorial is enjoyable to watch and learn from because of the calm and intuitive manor that you've used to show and explain things. I've learned a lot from watching this and I'm sure I'll watch it again and again. For anyone interested in KORE 2 I highly recommend MacProVideo's tutorial.

Description

People have a lot of misunderstandings about Native Instruments’ KORE. Is it a synthesizer? A sample library? A controller? A patch librarian? Is it for composing? Sound design? Performance? Well, the answer to all these questions is YES!

KORE is such a powerful instrument that we’ve given you nearly six hours of video covering every aspect of KORE. Going far beyond the manual, you'll dive deep into KORE’s sound matrix and create complex sounds that you can control in real-time for composing, sound design, or performance. You’ll learn how to use KORE as a plug-in for your favorite sequencer, and also how to integrate KORE with other plug-ins, including KOMPLETE. Along the way, we’ll show many examples of complex instruments you can build with KORE to give you ideas on constructing your own sounds.

This tutorial-video is divided into three main chapters. In the first chapter, all the basic features of the software are covered – from using KORE’s flexibile sound browser to creating your first sounds. In the next chapter, “Diving In Deeper,” you’ll see how to create complex, nested and layered sounds with KORE and review all of KORE’s built-in audio and MIDI effects in detail. The course winds up with a chapter on using KORE in performance and as a plug-in to your sequencing software.

This training program is a perfect companion course to Native Instruments 102: Complete NI KOMPLETE, which provides a comprehensive look at the eleven instruments that make up Native Instruments’ KOMPLETE suite.
