Jonathan Perl returns with his terrific treatise on Spectrasonic’s triumphant new bass workstation, Trillian®.
Hi, Steve H from NonLinear Educating here to welcome you to Core Trilian
Imagine a dedicated bass machine with 34 gig of some the most delicious low end sounds on the planet. That's the sonic soul of Trilian! This incredible bass synth is based on Spectrasonic's STEAM Engine technology, the same technology that powers the omnipotent Omnisphere.
But Trilian is much more than a simple sampler. It is high energy bass machine with a massive set of articulations and gestures that combine together utilizing advanced Round Robin technologies to give you, the programmer, the ability to create the most realistic bass parts and outrageous bass sounds imaginable.
This bass beast has so much horsepower that we decided to hand the tutorial reins to our master trainer, Jonathan Perl. Jonathan knows Spectrasonic's products better than anyone else on the planet (except perhaps Eric Persing himself). In this incredibly in-depth tutorial Jonathan reveals all of Trilian's inner workings shedding light on all of the advanced synthesis and sample playback power that is hidden beneath its awesome virtual faceplate.
So join Jonathan on his Trilian journey and when you've reached his final video destination, you too will be a Trilian master!

Excellent, detailed tutorial that makes sense of some of trillians more complex features in a real world setting, a must for all trillian owners!
Having used Trillian basically through its excellent presets, having watched Jonathan Perle's excellent tutorial videso I now realize what a powerful tool Trillian truly is. I am now able to exploit its potential to produce awsome bass lines.
Great video - there are things in here that it's almost impossible to get from the Reference Guide or to find on your own - for example, automating key features in Pro Tools - works very differently for Trillian (because of the number of parameters) than most plug-ins. Highly recommended
awesome couldnt live without it. best on the web,
Great tutorial on a great product. Really uncovers the hood on Trilian. JP is amazingly knowledgeable and quite a wit. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Great review as always from MPV. Easy to follow, detailed but not boring and fantastic value for money!
Thanks a lot!!! Every toutorial you do is very, very helpful for every user. It is comfortable for watching, studying and learning. Your Team doing Great Deal!!!
After the epic fail of the DnB vid I have to admit that I had reservations about my next Mac Pro purchase, but I really needn't have worried. This really is a superb tutorial. It covers all (and I do mean ALL) of Trilian's nooks and crannies in a concise and systematic manner while managing to resist the urge to treat the viewer like a complete idiot. Without this tutorial it would have taken me hundreds of hours of mindless tinkering in order to realize Trilian's true depth and potential (It's a lot more than a souped up version of Trilogy) and i fear some of these would have simply remained undiscovered. Spectrasonics make some of the finest instruments on the market today, but they are infamously under-documented. If I were Mr Persing I'd buy the rights to this video and bundle it with every copy of Trilian, but that's not going to happen so my advice is: If you have or are thinking of getting Trilian - Get this video.
