Steve H, what can I say? I have been to college and paid big bucks to learn more about audio production. I wish I had saved my money and downloaded your tutorials earlier. Steve explains very complicated concepts very carefully in easily digestible language. I absorb the know how very quickly and enjoy the learning process. Cant think of critical feedback because these videos already go way beyond my expectations. Also very affordable.

I have found all of the tutorials I have used so far to be incredibly useful. What has appealed to me the most, as opposed to working my way through 900-odd pages of PDF, is the following: 1) even if there is only one useful tip in each two minute video, that tip makes a huge difference to the way I can operate the programme 2) most video clips contain a great deal of info, that I would never think to seek out otherwise 3) each tutorial is in order! the tutorial really got me started. Having a hard time to break loose from ultrabeat and get back to the whole programme!

I'm an old fashioned musician, just listen and hit the keys, even though I've about 30 years experience with computers. So I did not want to take the time to figure out ultrabeat by trial and error. The tutorial was very helpful and made up for what was lacking in Logic manuals and my own instincts. A few questions were left unanswered, but it gave me a great start on what otherwise would have been a much longer learning curve. Worth it for me, will consider other tutorials.

I really liked Ultrabeat Unleashed. It answered nearly all of my questions about Ultrabeat. I am new to drum machines and the tutorial was basic enough to geet me started. As I improve and go back to the tutorial I find it still useful.

The class was perfectly detailed in the functions and capabilities of Ultrabeat. Anyone who will be using Ultrabeat should check out this turorial. I do wish there had been more tips and tricks concerning application.

this one has helped me a lot! after watching i was able to create my own custom made ub drumkits. now i understand every knob and this great instrument is my weapon of choice for creating beats! thanks so much!!!

The tutorials are very well put together, I love the extra efforts of clearly indicating the regions & Steve is very engaging with his explanation, which is the number 1 important factor in teaching... The only problem I have is the volume seems very soft, it certainly can bebnefit from a compressor!!!

Brilliant videos unleashing this beast! Ultrabeat can be quite a daunting machine if you don't know what you're doing...but these tutorials helped me get the best out this machine...and WOW...what a machine!

A must learn.... if you believe you know all the possibility of Ultrabeat and your like me you are way out this is a must have for this complex plugin. It could do a lot more that you think...

Once more another fine guide on how te use this (in my opinion) complex drumsynth. It might benefit form soem more sounshaping examples. But overal a great Ultrabeat user guide that finally made learn how to unleash this beast ! There's more to Ultrabeat then one would think at first sight. This tutorial brings this to the surface.

Ultrabeat is not easy. It's well explained. I would like to hear and see more good sounding examples of what ultrabeat can really do. More end result examples.

Great tutorial very easy to understand. i can now Set up & use ultrabeat without to many problems. excellent overview of all Ultrabeat's functions.

I am still working with this tutorial but so far have found it to be very informative. Steve H really explains things slowly and in detail. I feel I am doing things immediately that may have taken months to figure out myself. Worth every penny.

Steve H. does a good job covering all the features of Ultrabeat. However, I wish there some more examples of creating sounds from start to finish in the synth section.

Another great training video. Steve does a great job as usual. Ultrabeat looks pretty complicated but watching an expert use it is heaps better than a manual (I will read it one day. Promise). Re: the Modulators. It's a pity Apple didn't include the Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator. It would have been nice to be able to make a sound of the earth being blown up.

I liked this tutorial. However, I really wish some of the more advanced functions were thoroughly demonstrated tho. Specifically, demonstrations of effective use of modulators and vias. Also effective use of different Edit sequences. Although this covered every function, it could've used many more real world applications of the advanced functions.

That´s the way to uncomplicate the complicate, and to reveal the essence of this great drum machine!!

Very useful tutorial

Never used Logic before and I was overwhelmed by the look of Ultrabeat, This tutorial worked wonders! It all makes sense now and it only took the time to watch the tutorial to feel comfortable with Ultrabeat

Another great tutorial video from MacProVideo.com. Ultrabeat is a pretty challenging instrument to tackle for a novice to Logic Pro. This video explained it clearly. I was diving into Ultrabeat and getting more out of it - and much more quickly - than I would have pouring over the manual. Would like to have heard more from Igor - otherwise - great tutorial.

Its good,but I haven finished yet,but at first I did not the ultrabeat at all because I did not like the sounds in it.But started diging into the sloftware and began to make it work.Now when I use logic I use ultrabeat only,now that understand it more.Iam still into tutorialand. When can put your drums into the software its . Can you delete all the drums to build a new set?

hello I must say all of the tutorials I've looked at are grate I wish I had more money to buy more, but hey what could I say slowly but surely my libary will grow and as for Ultrabeat unleashed, lots to learn and so keep up the good training.

The video tutorial has taught me more in 2 days about Ultrabeat than 6 months with the Logic manual. This is the best way to learn, by WATCHING an expert. You cannot get this from a book. The video is broken down into easy to follow and comprehensive sections and is presented with passion. I like this so much that I'm going to buy all the Logic videos. I've packed the Logic manuals away.

I love it ! It shows how creative you can work with Logic-Plugins if you understand what it is for and how it works.

A great video showing the ins and outs of ultrabeat. I never knew the flexibility of this instrument. For me, the audio was very low. I had to crank up the volume to hear the voices and sounds that were being tweeked. Some aspects were a little too technical for me since I am not too keen on oscillators and modulators. Overall a great video. I am now more comfortable using this instrument as opposed to being scared to even want to take the time to try it.

GOOD: I thought the geography, modulator and via sections to be extremely helpful. I took screenshots of the VIA rules and the parameter hierarchy (global, pattern, step, etc) Very useful. The new things i learned that i didn't pick up in the manual (i'm a manual reader) were the ease of constructing new presets from lots of disparate other presets, voices and sequencers ..that is GOLD!! a very complicated piece of kit explained very clearly in bite sized chunks by steve horelick its going to take a lot of work to get into it properly but without this guide it would take forever cheers paul///ps anyone with logic 7/8 should definately get martin sitters excellent instructional video and keep it sitting behind your project as a quick reference tool

This was my first video from Steve H and boy it was a treat. This guy surely knows his stuff. The lessons are well organised, his humour is spot on, never distracting and his teaching skills are second to none. Ultrabeat is only "Ultra" after you watch this tutorial set. There are a lot of hidden tips and tricks that are uncovered in this set of videos. I was only getting about 10% of the potential of Ultrabeat until I watched these.

ive found all of your tutorials to be very user friendly and informative. having a live one on one walk through with ultrabeat was beneficial in a way that other tutorials ive read were not. to anyone that needs the basics on drum sequencing in logic, this tutorial will have you up and running in no time...

UltraBeat Unleashed is required viewing for anyone wanting to program drums. This instrument is so powerful but the interface & the signal path are complex. I bought Logic 204: UltraBeat Unleashed because I wanted to use UltraBeat instead of EXS24. The tutorial is up to the usual excellent standard of MacProVideo. I recommend it without hesitation as you'll find yourself using UltraBeat a lot more!

Very good tutorial as an introduction to Ultrabeat. Basically all aspects of the interface are explained. What I would like is more 'real world' examples. Take a few styles of music (rock, country, jazz, whatever) and build a beat to fit each type. As it is, it stands as a great tutorial on Ultrabeat.

I learn better through example than trying to read a manual- so the video tutorial was invaluable. The information was presented in a logical way with a nice flow, building on each previous chapter. The lessons opened up new ways to use UlraBeat, giving me inspiration and news ideas for my musical composition.

I had zero experience with drum machines, Logic and the Mac OS when I started with this and other MacProVideo Logic tutorials. Steve does a terrific job of making a complex interface very approachable and understandable. He's also quite entertaining, which helps makes the learning process fun! I watched the tutorial over a 2 day period. The content was great and the lessons were well organized. Prior to viewing the lessons, I've tried using Ultrabeat without much success at understanding the functions and flows. After viewing the tutorial, I have a good knowledge base that makes me much more comfortable with the interface thus increasing my efficiency using the product. I wouldn't change anything. Ive been using logic for many years and once in a while I would try Ultrabeat. I never realized what a great instrument it really is. But after viewing Ultrabeat Unleased i have now dumped Battery and am using Ultrabeat exclusively. This is a great video which covers every aspect of Ultrabeat and it sure beats reading the manual!

It was presented in a very organized and simple way. I would prefer the programming of patterns be done earlier and more coverage of the rhythm programming prior to the sound modification which is pretty intense. Excellent teaching skills, however.

I just completed the Ultrabeat tutorial yesterday. Quality is more than excellent as usual! I already had a good grasp of this Logic's plugin and even then, I learned a few new tricks. The chapter 28 about chopping up audio is alone worth the price of the tutorial.
