Didn't see all the tut's yet, but I found the one I saw: Capturing and Outputting in FCP 6, very instructive, pleasant to watch and excellent to understand for not native English speaking people.
Glad to have it bought, it's worth all the money!

Let me start by saying that I really appreciate and respect MPV and I own several tutorials. Thats the good news. The bad news is, this is not their best work. Francesco is clearly a knowledgeable pro but I'm amazed at the poor audio quality. I watch/listen to these tutorials with ear buds on and its really distracting. Also, like many others who have posted here, I miss the red circle.
As to the content of the tutorial, is pretty much the MPV/Francesco quality I'm familiar with. Exception being, I was told via an email exchange with MPV that FCE and FCP are the same tutorials yet some of the material in this video doesn't seem to apply to FCE. That would have been good information to have had prior to purchase. Additionally, why not make this a part of the FC 101? Isn't capture and output pretty "101"-ish?
The standard of other MPV products are so high its difficult not to be disappointed by one thats only OK.

Just finished watching this tutorial! Honestly, I had no problem at all with the instructor’s accent, but the audio isn’t the top notch; though the materials are extremely helpful and understandable, making this tutorial almost indispensable. Despites, it’s only one minor glitch; I recommend users to add this tutorial on their library because it covers the most important aspects of the whole editing concept and trust me, I am grateful to have this tutorial at such a great deal because trying to learn the whole log and capturing/ outputting process from the manuals or books could not only be time consuming but also painful. Thank you Martin, Gosia and the whole macProVideo team! And again, I have no words to express how great the customer service. You guys are awesome!

As much as I loved the FCP 101 Tutorial, I must say I have been disappointed with this one. First I must say that the audio really made it tough for me to follow up what he was saying. Once we tried the red circle bonus to the mouse pointer I guess we can't live without it. It really miss here!
Last but not least, I bought this tutorial 'cos I needed to know about the output options in FCP, and I don't feel like I got what I was looking for. The guy refers to another tutorial fully dedicated to the Compressor, but after researches I can't find it on the website. I was hoping to get something deeper and more explanatory in regards with all output formats, conversions and compression options available in FCP.

Hey Martin

This tutorial was not the greatest in terms of its audio. The instructor lacked a flow and verbal cadence that I have come to expect with other Mac Pro instructors. The audio recording device often seemed too close to his mouth, which led to large fluctuations in the volume.

The only other tutorial I have had chance to go over was FC101...great instruction and sound.

Cheers...Dan

You appear to have an over-use of compression on Francesco's voice.
Whilst I can still watch I find this makes for uncomfortable listening.
On the other hand I am also watching FCP 101 which is splendid.

i brouwsed a lot before chossing to buy the first tutorial: final cut 6 101 by machael wohl. the red circle aournd the cursor, that made me an instant macprovideo fan. thinking all of the tutoials from macpro would have the red cirlce blindfoldedly bought the final cut pro 105. was dissapointed because it did not have the red circle. but dont want to take away the merit of francesco who was good at narrating even with the accent. but the volume of all clips were not een. few were too loud compared to few too soft. othe than that it was ok. but i still have a long list of tutorials that i want in future and i'll wait and see if macpro will release any of those in rec circle around cursor: motion, dvd studio pro, soundtrack pro, microsoft excel, photoshop and mac osx.
thanks.

great, thanks. When you are not use to the techno langauage in the manuals, its great when you see it been done. Having experts talk to you allows you to learn some handy tips and tricks. The Manuals give the impression that you have to read every page. Though that is the ideal, sometimes time constraints do not permit such a priviledge.

Outputting for the web is a minefield. There are simply hundreds of options. This tutorial has helped me set up my exporting options so that my clients can successfully view the movies on my website. Unless you're an expert like Francesco, you'll be wasting valuable time trying to figure out how to export from FCP - so take my advice and buy this tutorial!!!

Incidentally all the information on capturing from your source material is also very useful.

To sum up, if you're an FCP user, this tutorial is indispensable!
