British audio specialists, Bloc & Roc have announced the 1st December launch of, GALVANIZE, their debut headphones range. Devised as a superior British alternative to the mass produced, plastic headphones made in China, the GALVANIZE range combines high grade materials with precision engineering, and are designed, engineered and assembled in Great Britain. With over two years of development, Bloc & Roc have delivered a sophisticated range of headphones, featuring British-sourced aerospace-grade aluminium that provides uncompromising sound, build quality and style. With two distinct designs, the S1 and S2, available in black, red or grey, and including two 24-carat gold plated Deluxe Editions, the GALVANIZE range is available exclusively from Selfridges and www.blocandroc.com ranging from £120 to £240.
The S1 (solid on ear design) and S2 (central mesh design) demonstrate unquestionable style credentials, however Bloc & Roc have also worked to ensure sound performance remains central to the brand. Their bespoke 40mm dynamic drivers deliver a powerful, yet well-balanced audio experience. The drivers took over a year to develop and have been customized to work in perfect harmony with the Bloc And Roc aluminium speaker chambers. Together, they resonate deep bass, smooth mid-range and clear highs, producing a truly immersive sound to rival that of higher priced headphones.

Bloc & Roc founder and chief designer, Scott Weller comments, 'The GALVANIZE range is the culmination of over two years of work. The easy route would have been to manufacture our headphones in China, but we're proud to source our core materials from Britain and to work with some of Britain's finest engineering and metal finishing companies. The result is a durable, high performing range of stylish headphones '" hand built in Britain.'
Each Bloc & Roc speaker chamber is machined from a single billet of British-sourced, 6082 aerospace-grade aluminium. This is one of the strongest and lightest aluminium alloys, specifically selected as the perfect choice for everyday headphones. The British aluminium supplier and machining company used by Bloc & Roc has specialised in producing metal parts for the aviation industry for the past decade, allowing the S1 and S2 speaker chambers to be precision engineered using the highest quality, 5 axis CNC machines.

Bloc And Roc even provides a premium canvas travel bag with reinforced, heavy grain, faux leather, designed to give maximum protection to each pair of their headphones.
The S1 and S2 Aluminium Colour Editions have been hand prepared and anodised by one of Britain's leading anodising companies. Specialising in finishing high-end audio systems (other clients include the likes of Naim Audio), they were selected to ensure the S1 and S2 enjoy the best aluminium finish available.
