code:MONO has hit this mashup out of the park once again. No surprises there! But, what's really great to see is a Push 2, Livid Minim and MIDI Fighter 3D in the setup.
We’re not so secretive about our respect for code:MONO (also known as Rishabh Rajan here at AskAudio and in the Academy). And his latest mashup features an Ableton Push 2, MIDI Fighter 3D and a Livid Instruments Minim.
Watch the video here:
This is a Mashup of the following songs:
Darren Ashley - Surrender ft. Jupiter 7 & Fatboytony
It's A Blue World (Darren Ashley Remix)
Darren Ashley - Question
Darren Ashley - Shakuhachi
Darren Ashley - Good Morning
Darren Ashley - Empire
Okay - Talitha Tan
Darren Ashley - Compass
Rozella - Dark Side
Darren Ashley - Goodnight
Sugar Shrill - Blue Ice ft. Darren Ashley
Wave Racer - World Record
Wave Racer - Bubble Wrap
we asked code:MONO about his setup and inspiration. Regarding the setup, all the sounds come from a Drum Rack hosted in Ableton Live. The Push 2 is in User mode so he can create those custom LED patterns. The MIDI fighter & Minim are also triggering samples from the same Drum Rack but they have different LED patterns. The Minim runs on bluetooth using an Ableton Remote Script, while the Push & MIDI Fighter are running cabled via USB.
Everything is performed live, except the bank switching on the MIDI Fighter. Rishabh just didn’t have enough time to perform the switch so he programmed it in prior to performing.
Rishabh Rajan used quite a few tracks from that collection and a couple of tracks from Wave Racer, another fantastic Future Bass producer from Australia.
