You can read the full story here. Happily it now seems like developers are starting to find ways around this and one of the first is Serato, whose new updates for its DJ Pro and DJ Lite applications adds support for the latest Mac operating system.
You can find the latest version of Serato DJ Pro and Serato DJ Lite software here:
Before updating to macOS 10.15 Catalina please take note of whether your Serato DJ Primary hardware is ‘Supported', ‘In Testing’ or 'Currently unsupported'.
NOTE: Hardware drivers & firmware are the responsibility of the hardware manufacturer. Please get in touch directly with the hardware manufacturer if you have any further questions.
The company's other DJ apps are in the process of being updated, and those from other developers are surely underway as well. Stay tuned to Ask.Audio for all the latest compatibility news for your Mac apps.
