If you want to apply specific film-style looks to your video or images without breaking the bank, then learning how to make LUTs in Photoshop is a good idea. Iain Anderson shows you how.

Open a sample image

Adjustment Layers aplenty from the black-and-white cookie

The process

Add Contrast with Curves

The basic S-curve
A simple curve does a lot to increase contrast
The Red, Green and Blue curves overlay the basic one
