Is Elektron's Analog Heat too hot to handle? Well, don't sweat it because the amazing Thavius Beck is here to show you how to tame this fiery monster. Watch this 21-tutorial course and put some analog warmth into your music!
Thavius Beck is an electronic musician/producer/programmer as well as an electronic music educator who has worked with various artists ranging from Nine Inch Nails to Saul Williams to singer/songwriter Skylar Grey.
Elektron Analog Heat is a lot more than a simple distortion device. With eight different stereo analog distortion circuits, an assignable LFO, an analog multimode filter and EQ, it's a true processing monster. Add to that list plugin control via Overbridge, and the ability to operate as a 2 in/2 out soundcard and you've got an extremely unique and versatile unit to say the least! In this course, Elektron expert and music performer Thavius Beck gets under the hood and shows you everything you need to know about this powerful black box.
The course starts by showing you how to set up Analog Heat with Overbridge, and how to configure it with your DAW. Once the basics are covered, Thavius explains how to take advantage of Analog Heat's completely analog signal path for EQing and filtering your tracks. Next, Thavius explains and demonstrates Analog Heat's main attractions in great details: its 8 Distortion Circuits. You learn everything about the Clean Boost, Saturation, Enhancement, Mid-Drive, Rough Crunch, Classic Distortion, Round Fuzz and High Gain circuits. Along the way, you also discover how to resample Heat and how (and when) to use parallel processing. Thavius also reveals everything about adding movement to your sound using the LFO, the Envelope Follower, automation, and more ...
So what are you waiting for? The temperature is rising ... Turn on the air conditioner, get your favorite cool drink, and join Thavius Beck in this hot new course. Get ready for some Analog Heat!

Env Follower and Retrigger Function for LFO is great
Compressor function missing wrote on April 21, 2018
Beck is really good in explaining the overall approaches to get a systematic start with the basics. On AH I was missing how you can use the box as a compressor, utilizing the envelope follower. Maybe this would be something for a follow up.
