When making movies, it’s often the little things that make all the difference. In this 30-tutorial course, you learn how those powerful “little” video and audio touches – packed into Apple’s iMovie – make YOUR movies really shine.
Back when desktop video editing was just a sparkle in every film editor's eye, Michael was busy creating Final Cut Pro. Learn Final Cut Pro from one of the original designers of this incredible piece of software!
Yes, iMovie has a lot of built-in color correction features like Auto Enhance and Auto Color Balance that can do some of the heavy lifting. However, there’s also a ton of pro-style, Final Cut Pro X tools that you need to learn too. Watch as video pro Michael Wohl deploys those tools showing you how and why manually balancing, correcting and adjusting your clips’ color enhances your content and creates continuity.
From there, you explore iMovie’s sophisticated post-production tools. Learn how to fix camera errors like annoying shake and shutter roll with ease.
Next up is audio. See how to mix your audio levels, add EQ and get rid of that distracting background noise. Michael even shows you how to record voiceover and edit/add audio FX! In the final two sections of this creative course you will see how to use iMovie’s video filters and speed effects. See how to speed up, slow down and even flash-and-hold shots just like a pro.
Finally, don’t miss the tutorial on Michael’s Super Secret Variable Speed Effect... you’re gonna love it! Be sure to watch all of our Apple iMovie courseware created exclusively for us by the outstanding video producer and educator, MIchael Wohl.

Before taking this course, I admit regarding iMovie as a playtool.
Now I just know that I will use this on a daily basis.
This free editor is packed with possibilities.
For a want-to-be video editor: Go go go!

I watched all 5 of Michael Wohl's courses, and I really liked them. They are very informative and I took a lot of notes. I had no idea that iMovie was as powerful as it is.
My one complaint is that Mr. Wohl failed to mention anything about iMovie's "Video Overlay Settings" (Cutaway, Green/Blue Screen, Side by Side, Picture in Picture). This is a major omission for a course that looked "comprehensive".
I primarily use iMovie for it's green screen capabilities, and to pay for and watch 5 iMovie courses only to find that nothing is even mentioned about this capability -- that is frustrating. I ended up finding YouTube videos to show me what I needed to know in that area.

info is good- but it is too wordy....I don't need to hear and see as many reps as are presented.... shorter and concise would be more appealing to me, as well as a better streamlined learning tool for me.

Really like the course. I came far down the learning curve by watching. A great way to learn.

I needed to upgrade my knowledge in the new version of iMovie, and I must say (even if I'm a FinalCutPro user) that I learned a lot from Michael Wohl's iMovie 100-104 tutorials.
Michael Wohl was a nice host, as well as a great companion and an excellent facilitator.
