“This tutorial is one of our finest Logic tutorials ever! With the addition of the Pedalboard and Amp Designer plugins, Logic’s virtual guitar arsenal is capable of overheating transistors, blowing out tubes and stomping out the most awesomely realistic or warped 6 string soundscapes anywhere! I’ve already started using many of these awesome techniques in my tracks and now you can too!”
Want to recreate that vintage British sound? How about hi-octane metal stacks or edgy leads? Maybe you want to create a combination of pedals and stacks that would be impossible in the real, hardwired world? With Logic’s Pedalboard and Amp Designer anything and everything is possible!
In this amazing tutorial, Logic’s Guitar Recording Toolbox, master guitarist, producer and educator, Toby Pitman, shows you everything you need to know about getting the perfect guitar sound in Logic. He explores every detail of the virtual amps, explaining their design, EQ, circuitry and history while simultaneously performing first class style-based examples on several of his collectable guitars. Tony teaches us how and why his guitars sound the way they do. Then Toby dives deep into the stomp boxes exploring their functionality and demonstrating routing techniques that best show-off the sonic power of Pedalboard.
But there’s so much more! Toby teaches us about impedance, the different kinds of pickups, the power of parallel microphone techniques and even how to create killer percussion parts using the electric guitar as the the sound source! He even amps the drums!
Toby Pitman’s Logic’s Guitar Recording Toobox is a tutorial that sound designers, guitarists, mixers and producers alike have been waiting for.. this is not to be missed!

WOW! Thanks! The most in depth analysis/application of how to get the most out of a guitar while processing through Logic. Just great. The "tips" mixed in along the way are wonderful as well. If you are using Logic to process your guitar, this course will enlighten you.

Excellent video tutorial surely one of the best tutorial on Mac pro video. I was looking for a tutorial on making electric guitar tones and sounds just using logic pro X and came across this video. The video is very well explained without beating around the bush..it changed the way i used to look at the inbuilt guitar effects and amps in DAWs after going through the tutorial i also tried to test it on cubase 8 pro and succeeded...with some great tones coming from the guitar....Thanks Toby and mpv as well !!

This is one of the very best tutorials and instructors on the MacProVideo site. I've used Logic for several years and am an experienced guitarist but still learned an incredible amount of information about using Logic to record the guitar.
He doesn't just show you what the various plugins or controls do, but teaches you how to use them very effectively. He presents a ton of great ideas for different sounds, styles and setups.
This is the best of the many Logic tutorials I have viewed on the site.
Great work Toby!

This course starts off pretty easy, if you're a guitarist the first 40 or so videos will seem like a review. Then you have to start paying attention, as Toby introduces split pedal board routing and more complicated effects layering. He is an excellent guitarist, and gives good demonstrations of famous songs that use the effects he demonstrates. All through, the selections are easy to follow, what he is saying matches up well with the actions in the videos.

Very good course. But maybe a too big step toward the end when space designer is used.
