Have you ever wondered how music adds to your favorite movie, TV program, or video game? This course will demystify the process with examples of how chord structure can evoke a mood or feeling. Using simple melody lines, the instructor builds more complex sound bites while explaining in simple terms how each instrument used contributes to the overall mood. Once you are through with this course, you'll never hear movie music the same!

I'd recommend this course to anyone with an interest in film scoring, but doesn't exactly know where to start learning. Don't go into this expecting an in-depth course on music theory, as that is not the overall focus of these tutorials. This will most likely require the user to have a basic understanding of scales, modes, and chords to get the most out of it. However, expect to learn the fundamental ways to use each piece of the orchestra to create a range of different emotions.
As of right now, this is one of my favorite series I've viewed on AskVideo. This is a must watch!
