This excellent course contains a lot of basic concepts relating to chord progressions, clearly illustrated with examples at every step. The examples are simple, which makes it easy to hear the point they are demonstrating. For those like me with a minimal and shaky grasp of music theory, I think this is a very practical introduction that will be easy to apply in creating your own chord progressions and making them better.

I have been doing music for long time. Read theory of and on. This is very a very compact and good course that you should review and rehearse until you know all the stuff in it by heart. That will improve you as a musician - guaranteed. i found the topics very well explained and with good examples.

I started the series with this one. Gregg is so much a specialist, I soon understood I needed the other courses first to fully understand this one. I followed them all and enjoyed every one of them. Great in depth tutorial.

I have watched most of Gregg Fines tutorials. They are good, though I am not a fan of his delivery style nor graphics. This course, however, really opened my ears (even though it suffers the aforementioned irritations). He develops the construction of chord progressions in a perfectly logical manner, but more than that, for each example progression he demonstrates, even though they are just piano, you can hear the hits that have been made with these progressions. The theory he gets into could be fairly heavy for novices, but the applications can give the uninitiated lots of ideas to explore and develop their own progressions - so persevere, the course is worth it
Thanks Gregg!

I am an experienced bass player / guitar player but nowadays I focus on experimental electronic music. I needed to go back to get some basic progression theory that may be useful to my compositions. This is very helpful basis course. Well put out and I learned a couple of small new things with are very helpful.
