Scott Freiman is a renaissance man ... both an award winning musician and entrepreneur, Scott has a long history of composing and producing great music.
Elastic Audio is an essential tool for any composer or producer working in Pro Tools. It's ability to time stretch audio in realtime (Elastic Time) was enhanced in Pro Tools with Elastic Pitch -- the ability to quickly change the pitch of any audio. But, most people rarely explore the possibilities that Elastic Audio offers.
In Pro Tools 205: Elastic Audio, Pro Tools expert Scott Freiman walks through detailed examples of the many uses of Elastic Audio. Matching audio to tempo without changing pitch. Adding realtime tempo changes to your audio. Auditioning loops at tempo. Working with REX and ACID loops. Warping beats. Pitch shifting. These and many more techniques can help improve any session -- from a classical recording to a remix to a film score.
Scott covers all the basics, as well as all the hidden details of Elastic Audio. This is one Pro Tools course that you certainly don't want to miss!

Very informative and useful,as are all the tutorials I've bought. My one criticism is the bias towards loops rather than freely played audio.I would like to see more on using elastic audio to correct freely played songs that are not played to a click, and how one could use elastic audio for tightening up performances. But overall very good!

Hi there,
I watched the video tutorials several times now and it's really so helpful that it makes working with elastic audio within Pro Tools so much more easier for me. What I really like is that it's chopped up in many items (42 in thi case) and if I only want to know something about 1 thing I can quickly navigate to that section and watch it again. The pace of teaching is good (no quick talker) and also the quality of the vids are OK.
So a big thumb up from me. Cheeers Hans
