    Extending a wave form
Okay, I've tried cutting the part in order to extend it three bars. I copied the part from another area and I have cross faded the location. I know I can record the part again. Just for the sake of knowing, is it possible to extend a vocal or an instrument part without recording it again? I am at the end of a song demo and I want to end it with three more bars.

Hi Cubase 5, You'll need to find a section of the waveform that convincingly forms the "middle section"... Imagine a vocalist singing a long note.... cut that section and paste it directly after that section, then add the end of the original section and use fades to help... Might well sounds better to re-record.... Also, you could try warping the note (vari audio)... But again your results could be mixed if you're trying to extend the note/part as much as 3 bars. I agree. I have attempted the Vari-Audio suggestion prior to my inquisition. I am convinced now that there is no other way other than, as you stated, re-record the section. No problem, I wanted to know if Cubase could handle my inquiry.
