Does RX Standard (6) Have a Way To Quickly Silence A Selection?
Is there a quick way to silence (reduce to no sound at all) a highlighted selection? In Adobe Audition (which has completely stopped working on my main computer), I just hit the X button, and all the highlighted area is turned to silence. the closest I can come in RX is to us the signal generator and have it set to silence. But I can't seem to figure out how to create a keyboard shortcut for that. Any tips for this? Thanks!

Maybe the Gain module would be a more direct solution.. Or is that module not included in Standard? (Sorry I have Advanced here)..

Thanks. Yes, Standard does have the Gain module. But is there a way to apply a keyboard shortcut to an -inf Gain? The issue is not really which module I use, but how to quickly do it with a keyboard shortcut.

In RX7 Advanced there's a shortcut -- Shift-S -- that seems to be what you're looking for: you'd just make a selection, hit Shift-S, repeat.. If that's not available in RX Standard (6) than I guess you could open the Gain module, set it to -Inf, make a selection, hit Render, repeat.. In either case you can undo each cut if it doesn't sound right, and when you're done you'd export the file (or a selection)..
