Can anyone recommend a good hard drive that would work best for logic. I am running logic on macbook pro and I am running low on internal memory (can't afford Mac Pro just yet). I want to move my audio files to an external hard drive. I dont know where to start. Which hard drive should I get and how to set that up. I am a total newb to apple and logic. This is all new to me. I did a search and G-tech seems to be pretty popular. Which one should I get the Q or the raid. I wanna get a 500GB for now and upgrade latter down the road.

Hi Lee, It depends on your needs and requirements. The Pro option seems to be the Glyph route. I know others (including myself) who happily use Firewire 400 drives to run all projects and samples from. The G-Tech look nice! But I have no personal experience with them. 500GB sounds like a good size. If money is not an issue then go for the Raid option IMHO. Let us know how you get on with the drive. Cheers Rounik

I just got a western digital 350g my book, and it runs great with my macbook pro. I got it set up with time machine, and with the 2.0 usb it didn't take long at all. I did a lot of research before I bought it and most costumer reply said they were pretty dependable, and I also found them to be a little bit less in price. Good luck on whatever you pick
