    Logic crashes
I was experimenting with beat mapping and strip silence after watching Steve's tutorial. I beat mapped an entire song using the "beats from region" option. I then strip silenced my Kick track - many tiny regions were created of course. Now when I navigate on the arrange page or try to resize the arrange page - logic becomes sluggish and crashes ????? Hi Jeff, What version of Logic are you using? Also, any additional info on your equipment (e.g. audio interface) and the project would be useful. It sounds like the project may be corrupt? Go to the project folder/Project File Backups/ and try opening a backup version. Can you replicate this issue on any other projects? Cheers Rounik

Hey Rounik Using Logic 7.2.3(961.9) I recorded my band -- 11 audio files in Logic 8 I burnt the audio files to a disc - placed them on my home computer - and proceeded to drag them into a logic 7 arrange page I fully mixed the song using all kinds of plug-ins - and automation even strip silence ( no beat mapping) worked great -- After watching the steve horlick video on beat mapping I thought I might try some kick replacement etc... to protect my original mix i dragged the original audio files into a new logic song - i think... maybe i re-saved as a new title humh... anyway... I beat mapped - stripped silence -- no plugins no automation -- and now when i resize the arrange page while editing I get pauses, colourful spinwheel stuff and logic freezes -- at times i even "force quit" project file other files seem to react as normal - I did find one file labeled as "song name.bak" reacted the same once i turned on global tracks This is the first time i 've had a problem with speed - I run a mac pro dual core intel 3.0 ghz processor 4 gb ram about 53 gb on my hard drive where the file exists - also use m-audio firewire 410 - tiger OS X 10.4.11 I'm wondering if there is a global tracks connection? worried Jeff

Hi Jeff, If possible try both: deleting beat mapping. & deleting fade files: Options > Audio > delete all fade files Cheers Rounik
