Hi, I really need some help on this one. I was watching Logic 204, and it states that if "pattern mode" is activated, you can switch and start patterns via incoming midi note commands. Well thats not happening for me. The transport button turns blue indicating that it is ready to receive incoming control commands. I also have toggle selected and nothing happens. Well the only that happens is logic just plays one instrument and not a pattern.

Hi DJhotwheelkee, Make sure that you are triggering the correct note. e.g. Ultrabeat shows that C -1 to B0 as the notes which triggers patterns So that means you need to go to -1 octave (minus one). Playing C1 through to B2 will trigger the assigned sounds in Ultrabeat (usually from Kick to Bass). Also make sure that the power button in Ultrabeat's Sequencer area is On. Hope that helps R

Yes, that worked thanks. Now I have another question can I use the pattern performance mode when i side chain vocals through the ultra beat. It doesn't work for me :-( in the mode.

Glad it worked. Yes, you can... Logic's Transport needs to be in play mode for a side chain to work... Can you describe in detail how you've got your side chaining set-up? Thanks R
