    Audio Unit Manager
I just upgraded to a new macbook pro 2.2 GHz i7 with Lion. I installed Logic 9 (and updated) with all my 3rd party plug-ins. On my old CPU I used pluggo audio unit manger to sync all my plug-ins. My question is does Logic need an AU separate Au manager, even though it has one already? and if it does what is a good program to use. I have analog factory from arturia that will not validate in Logic's AU manger? Let me know if you need any more info, and thanks for all the help

Hi Jex, Logic uses it's own Audio Unit Manager to confirm that AUs are fully compatible and compliant with that version of Logic... If Arturia's plugins do not validate then you'll need to contact Arturia to find out if they have a Lion compatible version. Many developers have needed to update their plugins to work in Lion. Also, are you running Logic 9.1.5 in 32-bit or 64-bit mode? Thanks R

Thanks for the help Rounik! I found out that if I run logic in 32 bit all my old plug-ins work. My buddy at guitar center told me,that an insider from apple said most plug-ins will not work with Lion for another year :( I'll wait and see what happens. Thanks for all the help at MPV

Hi Jex, It's really down to the developers to create a version that is fully Lion-compatible... Some developers were very quick to get Lion versions out of the door... others need more time to do so. But surely within a year of Lion's release all major audio units should be Lion and 64-bit compatible :)
