Hi again My external midi device performance is 27 ms early compared with my soft synth tracks . I have to go into prefs > midi>and adjust the external midi to a 27 ms delay . I'm using the Roland UM-3EX UM3EX midi interface , and the Roland Fantom . Does anybody know why this is happening in Logic ?

This sounds correct. External MIDI devices will have some degree of delay which you will have to compensate. Look at Tom Rice's tutorial on Latency within Logic: [url]http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/logic9207[/url] Excellent tutorial that explains the latency effects of external MIDI devices.
