Presets - a suggestion
I have bought a few Logic tutorials and enjoy them very much. What I really would like is access to the presets which are used by Steve Horelick and other instructors, particularly if the sounds have been created by the instructors. It is often very educational to be able to load presets in one's own songs and fool around with the exact same settings. (The Sculpture tutorials in particular, and I'm sure, the new ES2 stuff). It would be really simple (I have no doubt) for MacProVideo to have a special presets page or link related presets to titles already purchased. This would add extra great value to already great products. How about it????? Regards - Colin

I think that's a really good idea! How about it Martin & Steve? However, i do think some of the channel strip presets they use can be found in Logic already (i seem to remember being able to find a couple at least in some tutorials - could be wrong though). Cheers Rounik

Almost 30 views and no more comments! Come on folks....add your votes here for presets, wherever applicable. For example: Sculpture, ES2, Channel strips, etc etc I'm sure the good folks at MacProVideo will oblige.

I agree... always a lot of views and little participation... what's up with that?

mmm... has me puzzled too! ...perhaps a rethink of the 1000 points = a free tutorial policy. Could be brought down to 500 points. Or even a 'post of the month' could win a macprovideo tutorial or a third party sample collection? Although, it might only be a close contest between yourself, Martin & Christian (oh and Igor). p.s. my vote goes to Igor! A specific place in the forums where users can contribute techniques, tips, presets, apple loops, logic project files would be cool too. It'd definitely get people returning more often. Also, would be great if we could post pictures in our posts. As you know, a picture can paint a 'problem' into a possible solution that others can see! Didn't realize my post would become a 'forum suggestion' centered post. I just think these suggestions could help to make it an even better place for Logicians to hang out. Cheers Rounik

Steve Horelick said: I agree... always a lot of views and little participation... what's up with that? I maintain a forum for composers and have the same problem - lots of views (and lots of attempted spam) but very little input, responses or replies. It leads me to suspect that the world's population is comprised mainly of lurkers. Anyway, I'm pleased to see a response from you Steve, but what's your view on my original suggestion: to make presets available to MacProVideo subscribers? Regards - Colin

I'd love to see the capabilities of this forum expanded to include file sharing, pictures (screen shots),and avatars ( or user pictures). Let's start a new thread to see what keeps folks from being active participants and open it up to the community for suggestions.
