Hi, I am getting ready to purchase the Logic 8 101 tutorial and am very excited to start learning more about how to use this thing. My question is, I was looking at the Plugins Unplugged tutorial for Logic 7, and was wondering how many of these apply to Logic Express 8? For instance, LE8 does not have a full mutipressor, just a preset one. How compatible is this tutorial with Logic Express?

Hi Paul & Welcome to the MacProVideo forums! The Plugins unplugged tutorial is, as you notice, designed for Logic 7. Most of the pluggins are extremely similar if not essentially the same in look between L7 and L8. In L8 Express you have pretty much all the effects except full multipressor, adaptive limiter, linear phase & match eq and the space designer which are covered in the Plugins tutorial. I think this tutorial is full of knowledge that can be transfered to other plugins too. It helped me understand the way the plugins worked in a way that was just not apparent from reading the manuals. Hope that helps Rounik
