    Re: external midi device
Hi, So you can't hear the output of audio and soft inst tracks containing regions...and the respective channel strip level meters show the levels during playback.... This shouldn't make a difference if it's selected as the core audio device in Logic, but try de-selecting and then re-selecting the motu in the system preferences>Sound. I don't have a motu to test with Logic 8 - but haven't come across issues like this. Do the project sample rate and the motu sample rate match? Rounik

Have you installed the latest motu drivers? BTW, What OS version are you using? Also, try quiting Logic and restarting your mac, if you haven't already done so. Cheers Rounik

    Re: external midi device
Hi, Rounik, Actually my MacBook Pro is running OS 10.4.11. Today I downloaded the latest firmware and driver for the mk3. I plugged my JV1080 to Analog In 1-2, 3-4 and Vitruoso 2000 to Analog In 5-6. After installing that I turned on all the stuff again and played LP8 project. It just went the same yesterday. As I checked that the "OUT 1-2 " LED lit, I plugged the analog output 1-2 from mk3 to my stereo. This time a terribly LOUD volume of the music was heard.(No "OUT1-2" LED lit this time) Then I opened the CueMix FX, and turned on the compresser and leveler for the analog output 1-2. It sounded like lower volume but still too loud. Besides, this time I could not hear my external midi devices anymore. And I tried to turn down the volume of my Mac by pressing fn-F4, the icon showed that it was in FULL volume and couldn't be changed. In my MOTU midi setup I turned the Default Stereo Output to Analog 1-2, Phones to Main Out1-2. What's wrong with my setup? Could anyone using MOTU interface/CueMix help me to figure it out?
