Hi Luca - The first thing to do (if you haven't done it already) would be a full shutdown/restart—if it's just a matter of the OS mistakenly thinking that certain resources are still in use when they'e not (which seems to happen sometimes), then that would hopefully clear it out. You could also re-download the installer, just in case there's a problem there. If there are older versions of those plug-ins already on your system, you might want to try uninstalling them first with the relevant iZotope uninstaller(s), found in Library > Application Support > iZotope. If none of that works I'd contact iZotope support directly—maybe it's something they've encountered before with their installers.. You didn't mention what OS you're on (it's best to always include that information when troubleshooting, as well as naming the particular products/plug-ins you're having trouble with)—if it's a brand new one like macOS Catalina, note that per their website iZotope's products are not compatible yet with that OS. Btw, I've moved this thread to the iZotope sub-forum..

Have there been any more solutions for this error message? I have followed all the recommendations. I do have the most recent ios... so that might be my problem.

You said you "do have the most recent ios" (I assume you mean macOS (not iOS) Catalina)—according to an updated iZotope support page, that error message is related to trying to install with Catalina: https://support.izotope.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035354414-macOS-Catalina-Compatibility They don't offer a solution (other than to not upgrade the OS yet), which would suggest they don't have one at this point—at least not officially. I did find at least one user reference to that particular error message—no mention of the OS in use, and it was in relation to installing Ozone 8, but apparently that person was told by iZotope to try turning off iCloud and doing the install, and he claims it worked, so maybe that'd be worth a try. If you still can't get it going, you may just have to wait for Catalina compatibility, unless you have a disk/partition that will let you boot into an older OS (Mojave?).. The best bet would be to call iZotope support directly, if possible—since they're actively testing/tweaking their product line for Catalina there may be more up-to-date information available any day..

Yours is the first report I've heard of this issue specifically in Mojave. iZotope claims that this is a Catalina-specific problem (per the support page in the link above) , so if you're having the issue in Mojave I'd suggest you contact them directly.. https://support.izotope.com/hc/en-us/requests/new When they eventually solve the issue with Catalina I'd hope that would fix it in Mojave as well, but you should definitely let them know as they're working on that it may not be just a Catalina problem. In the meantime maybe they can offer you an interim solution for installation (please let us know if they do)..

Re: Error during download of izotope's plugins
For anyone having issues installing iZotope products under Catalina, iZotope has apparently posted an update to their Catalina compatibility page that says while full Catalina compatibility is still pending, they've updated some of their installers to deal with installation issues; they also provide suggested workarounds for other products. Get all the details at https://support.izotope.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039511813-macOS-Catalina-for-iZotope-products Though it's not mentioned specifically, hopefully this will address the Catalina "overwrite resources" issue that is the subject of this thread. And for those who may be seeing this error under Mojave, perhaps these updated installers will address that as well. If anyone has success with one of these updated installers, please let us know.. :-) Btw, there's another iZotope support page on general Installation issues here https://support.izotope.com/hc/en-us/sections/360004410134-Installation-and-Authorization-Help

Hi Jyzabyo - I guess I'd still go ahead and try the new Catalina installer(s) at https://support.izotope.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039511813-macOS-Catalina-for-iZotope-products It's likely they'll be compatible with slightly older OSs as well (like Sierra 10.12 / High Sierra 10.13 / Mojave 10.14), though you might want to check that first just to be sure. If the installation still doesn't work, you could try one of the possible solutions mentioned earlier in the thread (like uninstalling any previous versions first or temporarily turning off iCloud to do the install). If you can't get the install to work after all that—and since iZotope has obviously done some recent investigation into this—then at that point I'd get in touch with iZotope directly, since they may have some newer advice to offer.
