Madonna Tour Influences Direction of Logic 8
Hi guys. In the UK publication 'Computer Music' issue Feb 109 http://www.computermusic.co.uk/page/computermusic?entry=computer_music_february_issue_cmu109 there is a great article of how 3 Logic setups were used 'live' for mixing her tour. I couldn't find a link as such to this article, but the closest I found was here http://www.prosoundnewseurope.com/pdf/psne_download/2006/12/PSNE_December_P23-30_SR.pdf scroll to page 3 to read. One of the things missing from this article (that was is CM 109) was the fact that this tour had the attention of Apple Inc & not only had Apple bods on site (namely Bob Hunt main Logic Guy), but had Apple writing additional patches of code to LP7 so it could handle the robustness of having 22 Logic sesssions opened at once & other things. The original German coders were there & said to each other "I told you this is what we should have done". So Logic as a live tool is one of the aspects I think Apple are seriously looking at to add to Logic 8. Whether you're a Madonna fan is neither here or there. It's a great article. I also think the fact that Final Cut Studio 2 has just been released, makes me think the release of Logic Pro 8 isn't been held back until Leopard is released :) What do you guys think?
