If the D Beam of the MC909 sends out controller messages, then it should work. Try this as an exemple:
1-Put a ES1 on a Audio Instrument track.
2-Go to : Logic - Preferences -Control Services -Controller Assignments... A window will appear... it looks like a floating window but does'nt act like one, so it can disappear behind your other windows.
3-Make sure "Learn Mode" is activated on the Controller Assignments window.
4-Move the Cutoff of the ES1.
5-Use the D Beam of the 909.
6-Click on "Learn Mode" to finish learning assignments.
7-The D Beam should now control the Cutoff of the ES1.
