    Hibernation -- sound loss
When I wake my Mac from hibernation, (no password required) I need to restart to get sound , I am using an M-Audio 410 audio interface, M-Audio website recommends leaving energy saving settings off, and just turning off monitors vs. sleep mode- any opinions??

Try just unpluging the interface from the computer, then pluging it back in ... I've had this issue with m-audio products in the past, but reseting the bus by unplugging it usually fixes the issue in my expereince.
