hey martin, this thing with XSKey is not giving me rest... would you elaborate how did you upgrade your version and how did you do it with no xskey.... was your '8 version from a store or from Apple for you to use...? bal

"Please enter your original serial number, or insert your Logic XSKey." I was wondering if ... you just enter the serial number from your XSKey if you open XSKey updater on your computer with the key in usb port you will get your serial number. my version of logic 8 comes on Monday or Tue. LA time... so I will try it. But if any one can try it before me - please share the experience. Martin is the lucky one - he gets the copies with no hassle... hahahahaha Guys thank you soooo much for all the answers. Ben - you are the man... thank you for taking time to elaborate.... bal

also... if you just open logic and go to Logic Pro then About Logic Pro the serial number is sitting just there.... bal

Thank you Ban, I don't think you make a fuss. lol I think that we all just trying to figure things out. You are a great friend and I do appreciate your help. Actually you were the one who was and still is right about this upgrade. Sorry if my suggestion took some of your time; as you can tell, I seem to be really obsessive about this; or I just can't wait till my copy of 8 gets here. Well, Tell me how do you find the new version. From what I am reading it will help me a lot to get where I want to be. Let me listen to your music, please. First I'd like to thank everybody for his(her) imput. I got my Logic 8 last Saturday; not on coming Monday like Apple said (one can always trust Apple - by far my favor company ever) For the update I needed XSKey as Ben said. No trick worked... Now I am up and running on my MacPro and my MacBook. After viewing the September TNT (what a help you guys) I feel very cofotable with the software. I am ready for a statement that this is by far the best software that i have ever seen (i promised my self not to cry... lol). till next time Bal
