Hi Chris, If you have not already tried this... give Repair Permissions a go... If this doesn't help perhaps a visit to your local Apple Store/Reseller to see if they can shed any light on the problems.. As to the clock issue and taking a shot in the dark...it could be the Battery in your Mac needs replacing... HTH Cheers, Bj

Went to the Apple Support Site and got the Tech Specs for the White MB and it has a 400 Firewire port... still surprised there's none on the new MB. Might keep my eyes open for a 'Bargain Price' on a White MB at the Apple Store over the next couple of weeks... Cheers, Bj
