Could someone talk me through getting the TnT from May to download? I can't get the latest NED to do it. Should i delete the whole .prgm file or is there a better way? I have gotten up to April, but can't get this months, and it sounds REALLY good!! Any ideas gang? David T

I've gone back to the older NED, but still it doesn't download. What's the next step?

Hi to all - Steve in particular! I'm just setting up a tips and tricks blog on a logic training site that I'm working with - nothing as grand as yours you understand... but you've gotta earn a crust !!!! Anyway - I'm answering a question from a student and I want to make sure I'm not missing something... He has asked if in logic 8 (not 9) there was a way of forcing the pointer tool not to turn into a loop tool at the top RH edge of a region. I'm fully aware that the behavior is customisable (to a point) in L9 with the smart tool on edges etc... but thinking back to L8 - he is harboring hopes of making it feel more like L7 and wants to avoid this tool change - and for the life of me I can't think of any way he can achieve this. Have I missed something obvious? I don't want my first answer on a new T&T blog to be inaccurate, but I don't know of any way to do this! Any thoughts? Yes I agree. Actually, it's someone I've known for 20 years and in his particular case it's because he's used Logic since version one, he's a bit of a die-hard and doesn't want the interface to change! In reality I guess he needs to just get used to it, but it was an interesting issue to find out if there are ways of making the software still feel more like it used to for old-timers (no insult intended!!) Hi Steve - gang. I have a question. Are any of you using QL Symphonic Choirs (Play edition) in Logic with word builder? If so, how practical is it to use in logic as an AU, given all of the talk on their forum about snow leopard issues and problems within logic generally for some. I'm interested in buying it, but I'd like to know whether it's possible to use it and how well it works inside of logic for any of you.. Anybody got any ideas? Best David Tobin

I seem to remember that one of the tutorials had something a long time ago regarding setting up the play software for automation and other things in logic. Hi all again. I have been meaning to post this for a while. When editing a piano track with sustain data, I wanted to move some notes and control data to an earlier position. However, when in the piano roll, using the [b]select all[/b] function [b]selects notes only,[/b] meaning control data doesnt get moved. However, if you use "select all" from the event editor, then it's everything. Is there a way to select all via the piano roll - maybe with hyperdraw? It's just a bit annoying to have to do the edits in the event list, and I don't really want to have to cut the region! Any ideas? Best David T

Hi Steve / Gang. I am working on a filmscore - which i originally wrote a song for at [b]44.1khz[/b] (their choice!). Now i have got the gig for writing the rest of the score - at [b]48khz. [/b] I need to import all of the stems into the new project - without any artifacts of sample rate conflict. Is there a way of [b]batch converting[/b] all of the stems from one project originally at 44.1 to 48khz files for another project (either in Logic or STP)? I've never used STP - to my shame, but I haven't really ever tried a batch sample rate conversion. Can anyone suggest the quickest workflow for me? Thanks to all! Best David T

Hi Rounik. Well - that's what i've done for years and years, and what i would have answered myself to this question. Only problem is Logic is not asking me the question - If i drag and drop it's just importing the files and not converting them - so they are playing at the wrong speed! I've had to export at the right sample rate first... takes too long. Obviously there can only be one sample rate in one project, so i should say that it is changing the files when dragging and dropping, but it's changing pitch and speed as well as sample rate via this method. I've never had this issue before. Any thoughts? David
