I bought a 3.00GHz Quad-core Intel Xeon (8 core) Mac computer OS 10.4.10 Logic Studio supports 8 core ( CPU meter show 8 bars) so it was ok. Because an incorrect bootROM,Apple replaced my computer for a new one I copied the data from the "old" computer to the new one via firewire and every thing works well exept there is no 8 core support in Logic Studio,in the CPU meter I can see only 4 bars! Where or how can I configurate my new computer so I'll have the 8 core support

does anyone know how to change the grid resolution in the piano roll editor? in logic Pro 7 there used to be a little box on the side. in Logic studio, the box is gone.

hi, is it possible to setup an ext.hardwarecontroller (with faders) and use it as a mixer?( hardw. fader 1 controls volume(cc7) of track 1...etc). I can't find out how to do it regards

Hi Rounik, ok I 've assign the faders via the learn function but it doesn't solve the problem. my goal is :assign the faders of the hardware controller to different tracks so I can mix the volume like people do with a mixer console. But the problem is, :If I assing my hardware fader 1 to the fader of track 1 via the learn function and hardware fader 2 to the fader of track 2 it works only on the track who is highlighted.If track 2 is highlighted in the arrange, hrdwfader 2 can move the fader of track 2 but if I move controller fader 1 the fader of track1 in the arrange doesn't move(because it is no highlighted). is ther a solution for this problem. best regard, Paul

hi Rounik, I'm using a Behringer B-contoller BCF 2000 (USB) Do you have any advise for a controller (assigning faders to tracks is enough for me) I know there's the Mackie but I don't need the other options like peamps .... because I've a very good interface with preamps (Orpheus) best regards

hi, the peak controller do much more. you can set a peak contoller on a kick track, so the controller follows the (peaks) of the kick, it 's a bit like a sidechain.BUT, and this is the power of that controller, now,you can assign ANY slider ,knob ,button of ANY effect or instrument to the peak controller and those sliders ,knobs and buttons are following the peak controller(you can also set the value or size of the sliders............) so my question is,can you build a controller that connect the knobs of any effect to the noisgate.maybe when using the transformer......... regards, Paul
