Hi. Does anyone know how you can create your own kit using existing sounds from a mixture of kits. I am guessing you can use the drag and drop kit but this does not seem to work. Can anyone talk me through using this. I have only been using logic for about 4/5 months

Hi there, I have been watching the mainstage tutorial and wanted to run a sample of background noise from a song I have already made. I figured out how to assign the sound on to the exs24 in logic. I have then saved this as an instrument. Now when I go back to mainstage I cannot find the instrument to load up. Any ideas, am I going mad?? something I'm missing? Please help. Many thanks

I just saved as in the instrument section. it saved as a .exs and now it appears in the exs24 menu in logic but not in mainstage. Oh ok, should i save it as a channel strip...? I am running logic 8 Cheers dude

Cool thanks. Sorry, I assumed you were based in the states.. Oh well, I got the channel strip into mainstage but it won't play. I have no idea, I am pretty new on mainstage. Was just wondering if I really need to use it if I am getting playback fine through Logic?

nah, its not in that folder i just have empty folders instrument bus input, etc etc. I think my logic is fucked... I definately saved the strip as it is now called the name i gave it....where the hell could it be saving to? Cheers mate

its on audio... mac 10.5 running Logic 8. Oh ok. I saved it into audio files for the song. You can't load it from there though, it greys out.... Anyway, I just figured you can copy and paste the channel strip settings! Wooo Cheers mate. Off to bed again! talk to you later
