Yea looks like its a goner. I checked the backup files and there wasn't anything. It just sucks because I spent so much time on it and logic just shuts down without recovering any of the project. However it is my fault for not saving every step... lesson learned, I'll just record everything again. Maybe i'll get a better performance this time ha.

OK I looked in my audio files folder and I see files but they are transparent..I'm not sure if those are the ones but possibly. I'm not sure what to do from there. I know my recording path just goes to my external drive. Don't know if this helps but when Logic crashed, it asked me if I wanted to reopen and I clicked yes but then it opened with a blank arrange window and one audio track without audio. Also is it possible I might retrieve the midi software instruments I arranged? Really appreciate the help so far Alex

Nevermind I opened those files and they're not the ones. I've checked the project backup files and the audio files and there is nothing there. I keep on hoping just maybe :(

Im recording in sounds so I can sample them and step sequence it with ultrabeat but I can't seem to bounce the audio region correctly. I put the end locator at the end of the region but it will not stay there..it bounces back a couple of measures. I guess the real question is how do I set these locators properly and if there are any shortcuts?

I think I figured out the best way is to just set the green locators; this seems to work quickly. Another question... now I have these AIF files but I can't seem to import the sounds into the banks of Ultrabeat. I know I'm supposed to go to the import button but it's not letting me select my files. Any help would be really appreciated thanks. Alex

This is great thanks for the tip. So far it's working but not all of my samples are playing. The wave form shows in Osc 2 but the sample doesn't trigger. The duration of some of these samples shows 0 seconds but it bounced right..I'm confused. Alot of these samples are short but I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Hmm I got some of those samples to work when I shut down ultrabeat and reopened it. What was happening though was the samples would not play if I hit the play button in the osc 2 sample window but if I make a pattern it plays. I also cant trigger it with my keyboard. Keep in mind, I'm a newb at Ultrabeat and I haven't had the money to dl the tutorial but I will soon. It's probably user error.

I'm working on this project for school which involves dumping all the original audio and then recreating it myself. I started in soundtrack pro because I can see the video but I'm still not familiar with all the shortcuts like Logic so it's hindering my work flow. Can I score in Logic and see the frames? I can't figure out how to import this video, it is quicktime. Thanks Alex

Thanks I see the video now in logic. How would transfer all the audio tracks I have in soundtrack pro to Logic? I tried exporting but it gives me a final mix which I have limited control because it's one track.

Hello I have the Logic 8 101 tutorial but martin says that there would be another section in which they would touch on this topic. How do I create different tempo changes and signatures within the song. The stuff I work on is constantly changing so it's hard to have one tempo. Also what tutorial should I get next that gets into these things? Thanks Alex
