Just for the record: I've been trying to get April's TNT with N.E.D. v3.1 with no success. I used Time Machine to get V3.0.1 back from the dead and it worked first time - downloading April now. However, another odd thing arises... N.E.D. says it's downloading 1 of 4 videos, but the index only has 3 new topic titles. Hmmmm... Anyway, I got all the April stuff now. Off to take a look.

I also got 3 - which correspond with the index. Don't know what the mystery 4th file is.....? - - - - - - - - - - - PS - *NICE* stuff this month Steve. Really useful EVD6 tips. (You called it EVB6 in 2 places though....I wondered if Logic had a new synth!)

It's very difficult to quote other posts efficiently. This is why I used [i]italics[/i] earlier to quote SteveH - I couldn't seem to do multiple quotes. On most forums I visit, one can select any text and wrap it in quotes but not here. We only seem to be able to hit the Quote button which quotes an entire post. Usually one can use [quote]text[/quote] but as you see, this doesn't work on this forum. Not critical - just a small suggestion.....

Users shouldn't have to download all these files again - bandwidth costs money in some countries. MacProVideo should sort out their software issues instead. In the meantime, I'll just stick with the old version that works.

I'm sure that by now, everyone here knows that Logic 9 has been released. I imagine this is just the right kind of event to spark off TNT 3........

Sorry if this has been discussed before - I just bought Kontakt and Scott's tutorials. Scott keeps saying that you can select and set different sounds to different notes, for example in the Urban Beats drumkits. It seems to me that the configurations are preset and that by clicking on the Note dial, or selecting an instrument under the Selected Instr menu, you are only changing what is displayed on the Kontakt interface. For example, load 087-African Night (as in Scott's tutorial). Play C1 and you get "Sub Bass" as the instrument. The Note dial also points at C1. (Click it for info) Now, go to the drop-down menu under "Selected Instr" and select Short Snare. The Note dial moves to show Db1. Play C1 - it is still set to Sub Bass. No change. The Sel by MIDI switch has no bearing on this either. I see no way to assign different instruments to different keys (apart from going into the Mapping Editor of course). So, it seems to me that, unless I'm missing something, Scott is wrong about this. Same applies to all other similar settings as in World Drums etc. ??? Colin

Thanks Rounik! I'll wait..... Check out no 42 Urban Beats Collection Part 2 from around 0:30 Scott says: " ...I can dial in a note and that way I can map a sound to each one of these keys..." As far as I can see, you can't change the mapping as it seems to be preset by NI.
