Thanks Rounik, I figured performing the task of the channel strip in Wavelab would be the proper way since I do have the Mastering Suite (Wavelab 7). The Cubase route no doubt would be fine if I only used Cubase to master. Thanks for the conformation. ;0)

Another mastering question: Understanding the issue of exporting a dry mixdown project into Wavelab and using the mastering tools for the entire song, is it okay to add reverb features (plugins) on the vocal track while in Cubase 6 prior to exporting into Wavelab 7? In other words, if I should add reverb while in Wavelab the whole project will be affected and I had added reverb on the vocal in Cubase, being in Wavelab this process will add more unwanted reverb onto the vocal. :0! What is your take on this subject?

Sooooo, are you suggesting it is well and fine to add reverb on vocals during the mixdown process and if necessary add it in the overall mastering process in Wavelab?

Rounik, thanks again for confirmation. I am a Jazz, Pop,Rock and Gospel Singer. I write contemporary Gospel Music. "Music is forever" is my moto. ;0) Sooooo, mastering should be as Mathew states, "Shinny" "Punhcy" etc., etc.,..... So there is no need for overall reverb during mastering once all has been decided in the mix.

Rounik, I know I should know this, but you may have a better method. RE: MIDI to Audio- After recording MIDI to more than one track, let's say ten. Is there a better way to turn the tracks into audio other than one at a time? When the process is more than one it's the same as bouncing all tracks to one track. Did I answer my own question? :0!

The below information was written by an M-Audio Tech. to an inquiring customer. This may not be for your device, but it should apply to any external device: You need to assign a stereo output bus in Cubase for the SPIDF send (any output pair will do). Then in the ProFire Router you need to assign this software return as your SPDIF output.

Okay, I've tried cutting the part in order to extend it three bars. I copied the part from another area and I have cross faded the location. I know I can record the part again. Just for the sake of knowing, is it possible to extend a vocal or an instrument part without recording it again? I am at the end of a song demo and I want to end it with three more bars.
