Rounik, I know how to set up the rewire, but when I launch Live, I get a message in live saying that plug-ins are disabled when using rewire. Is that normal? I mean, if so, what's the point of uusing rewire? It seemed weird to me. Oh well, maybe it will all work when I start using LP9 tomorrow:-) For the record: LP8 SL 10.6.3 Live 7 3.2 GHz MacPro (8 core) 4GB Any thoughts?

Perhaps that is the error of my way. I think I was launching Logic, launching Live, THEN setting up the routing. I'll give it a go when I get home, thanks!!

Hey everyone, What is the most common way to exchange files between Logic and Final Cut so that changes made in either program are reflected? I am an intermediate Logic user and the opportunity to do some video scoring has recently arisen. This will be a new endeavour for me so any helpful insight would be greatly appreciated. Thx!

I hear ya Alan. I find I spend quite a bit of time auditioning sounds as well. Keep in mind one thing with regard to Kore. You still have access to any other plugin on your system. Once you get the hang of it Kore allows for some rather extensive routing to create some very unique effects. I think it goes together well with Komplete because you then have access to Battery. They also have some pretty sweet Kore soundpacks that you purchase if you are in to them. Enough about Kore on this thread, it's obvious I am a fan.haha Ultrabeat is pretty sick. I need to learn it better personally. With regards to Logic in general, you hit the nail on the head. I could not have said it better!! I absolutely love this forum and all of the tuts. The irony is that I'm spending more time here than I am making music!

Yo Hector! You could try the following and see if that solves the issue. I can remember running into this same thing but it has been a while. Options > Audio > Refresh Overview(s) Hope that works for you! Cheers, Steve

I have a weird little nuance going on... I have a project with 10 markers, let's call them A thru J to make things easier. Somehow, I have managed to lock one of those markers thus disabling the ability to use the quick key to go back to previous markers. In other words, I can move from A to B, B to C, C to D, but then when I go back I can go back from any point to C and then the quick key no longer allows me to go to the markers before C. I've just been using the floating window for a temporary solution because I am trying to finish the project in a set amount of time. I'm sure I did something silly. Anyone with thoughts on this?

Ha! Ok, I figured it out. I will answer your questions first though. I just upgraded to SL 10.6.3 yesterday...I know, long time coming! I'm still running LP8 but LP9 is literally in the mail. As far as key commands working, yes, but with a twist. I think I changed the template for key commands from a Photoshop tutorial I did about a year ago and I forget how to go back to the original template. Could you help with that? i.e. to go to the next marker I have to type control command right arrow instead of control command period. I would like to go back to the original template. Ok, long intro. The cause of the original problem was that somehow I managed to create a duplicate marker at the exact same location as the marker I was stuck on. The duplicate was hidden behind the marker that was supposed to be there. I guess having two markers in the same place locks the goto marker function at that point....weird. At any rate, I deleted the duplicate and everything works fine. Thanks for your always timely responses, Rounik! I am nominating you for man of the year! Cheers, Steve
