On this very special day, I’ve decided to take a look back at how MPV began, one decade ago. This video features interviews with the people that were there - get an inside look at how MPV grew from just me working in my living room, to the team we have today creating the courses you love to watch.

As I look slightly to my left in my studio on my shelf I still see the original Logic training books among all my other audio and acoustics books. They're all just sitting there for whenever I need reference something…..

One Logic book by David Dvorin and the other by Martin Sitter…

Thanks Martin this helped a lot, especially when NZ is so far away from everything else.
I started out on an orange screen (Was that MS DOS!) using Notator then Emagic worked it up into Logic then now we have it LogicPro….
We've come a long way with some great innovations along the way. I'm so glad we still have the Logic environment, so useful…. (If you know what I mean).
The one thing I would really like to see changed is the Audio editing. Somehow for me (i.e. my personal like) is the way ProTools handles audio and audio editing.

Oh, is it 10 yrs Martin! well congrats… time flies.

Congratulations to all at MPV! I've been a student of yours since almost the beginning, and seen the company grow over the years. Honestly, it's been a godsend to have such quality training on demand, and covering such a broad range of subjects. My heartfelt thanks to you!

Congratulations to Martin and the whole staff at MacProVideo. I'm a latecomer to Logic Pro - 2012 - and have been pretty much learning and guiding myself through the program by reading books, forums and watching tutorials. I started out with monthly subscriptions to the big 4 online tutorial houses and as of a few months ago, MacProVideo is the one I've settled on as my "go to" place for learning Logic or any other subject which catches my fancy (would love to see a tut on FXpansion's Geist).

I'm in a place similar to how Rounik described himself at the beginning of his involvement with MPV...everything I read, watch or think about involves Logic Pro and I'm so hungry to learn more and more. To that end, I'm really grateful to have learned so much from Steve H, Peter Schwartz and Rounik. These guys keep me inspired and determined to finally conquer the environment (and as a side note, you guys were the only ones I could find who actually had an environment course in your library...thank you for that).

All the best for another great 10 years and I'm happy to be a part of it.

Congrats Martin,

Hope it's the first decade of many more to come.

The main reason I have a 2nd display is so I can have Logic on one and a MPV course on the other and follow along.

All the videos are enjoyable, helpful & informative.

And the secret ingredient is the personalities of the trainers. You all come across a nice bunch of people which aids in the learning.

Thanks,
Francis

Congratulations and Happy Birthday MPV team. It's not only a team growing tale, but a successful idea which had built a big family all over the world. Yet I am writing this comment from my office, thousands Kms far from Vancouver, and I am happy to discover MPV and join the Family for 3 fun years now.

I remember first buying Logic 7 setting it up, pressing space, playing a key on my keyboard and...nothing. I did an internet search and found Mac Pro video. I was living in Tokyo at the time and was lucky enough to have super fast internet but was still cautious about spending money online. After days of consideration I finally purchased Martin's Logic Course along with several of Steve H's courses (including the excellent What is Sound course). It was a revelation, I became so used to their voices over the years, it was like having a friend helping you learn your craft.

I owe my audio education to Mac Pro Video, and thanks to you all I've been on some wild adventures in music and sound design before finally settling down for my own office job working for the localisation team at Disney. Even then, to prepare for the interview, I purchased your protools courses to get me up to speed.

I am a mac pro video user for life. Thank you.

Great stuff, I was introduced to MPV in Devon in 2006 by Matt Densham. a Logic Trainer who knew Martin. I was just getting to grips with Logic 7, I still remember that tune I had to make in Logic 101 - definitely got me up and running!

Congrats on the 10 years, hope you have many more!

Thanks, Martin and the guys - keep it coming!

During my two years working in Iraq along side the military there was not much to do when I had downtime...until I found MPV...such a great concept and excellent videos. The bandwidth was very very poor so I'd leave my computer run all night buffering the videos to watch the next day! Congrats on 10 years and many more to come!

really good to put faces to those voices I know so well. ive been a customer for so long that I recognize that damn Logic song playing in the background.

This was an emotional viewing for me,especially the last words. im so proud of you guys. Im obsessed with learning and I have learned so much from you guys. Your courses have allowed me to create work that has given me a chance to reach a lot of people and countless frustrations defeated that have allowed me to create and not worry about technical stuff.

I can not wait until you guys start making app based courses that allow us to us a DAW along with the teacher. Im sooooo excited for that.

congrats, this is such such a positive thing you all are doing.
