Got a Software Question? AskVideo.com Has The Answer!
We've got some super exciting news about macProVideo.com to share with you today. Some of you may have already noticed a rather interesting change… but before we talk about it, let's take a very brief look at the history behind MPV.

The Concept

It's incredible how far MPV has come since its inception just 7 years ago. At that time Martin Sitter was a famous author and educator in the tech and creative software field… having written best-selling books on LiveStage Pro, DVDStudio Pro and the Logic Pro 7 Apple Pro Training Series, Martin realised there was a fundamental flaw in writing text-based books about audio and video editing. He felt that rather than try and "explain these audio concepts in words… it'd be easier to play these sounds so people could actually hear it for themselves".

From that idea macProVideo.com was born, video-based education on the web became the next big thing, and the rest is history as MPV become the place for Mac users to learn how software works! But what about for Windows users?

It's exciting that MPV has even more content to offer. I've loaded up on many of your tutorials over the last several years and acquired an immense amount of valuable information. From a brief scan of the Ask Video site, it looks like they incorporated the MPV tutorials, and it's hard to immediately discern what is new for a long-time MPV subscriber. Is there a way to quickly screen for the new AV titles? [Call me lazy, but you guys have so many products that I've forgotten the exact titles of the ones I own.] Thanks!

Hi Rexinator,

We're glad you're feeling the excitement too! :)

This is a great point. At the moment there's not a way to scan only for the AskVideo titles that have been added to the MPV library.

The cover art is different (tall as opposed to square). So in each category, especially "audio" in the new HD Webplayer, you'll be able to see which are new.

Here are some titles that've been added recently:
- Ableton Live 8 - Level 1 and 2
- Amplitube 3 501
- Auto Tune 501
- Cubase 6 501-504
- Digital Performer 7 501-502
- Melodyne 501
- Native Instruments 501-503
- Pro Tools 501-502
- Reason 6 501-505
- Recycle 501
- Sonar 7 501
- Studio Concepts 501
- Mac OS X Lion 501

Hope this helps! Enjoy the new influx of video courses!!

Thanks Rounik. Sorry I blew your name. I am of course familiar with you from all of your great Hub articles and other posts. I just had a senior moment.
