I really enjoyed this course, I've got a number of years using DAWs but this has helped me tweak mixes and up my knowledge to be really useful and productive.
This is a very detailed course that gives valuable insight into mixing while also covering several areas outside of it. It was very clear and comprehensible and well structured. Thank you :)
Another great video series from David Earl "SFLogicNinja". Even if you are a working professional, using Logic Pro X daily, you can still learn a lot from this course... A few things have been updated in 10.2 since this was released. But don't let that stop you from getting your mind blown. Lots to learn, and plenty of tips and tricks to make a daily part of your mixing workflow. This is a must watch!
This is a great tutorial. The information is very well organized and clearly presented. It covers a lot of ground in easily-digested bites. I learned a LOT.
Excellent course, a lot of ground covered. I took a lot of useful notes!
This is the best course I've watched, so far. Was wasn't talking a mile a minute and he knows how to teach. Felt like I was looking over his shoulder as he worked through session...
CLEAR EXPERTISE IN THE SUBJECT GENEROUS WALK YOU HAND BY HAND AND STEP BY STEP THANK YOU
This is probably the best course I've seen so far! It's not entirely focused on learning Logic's functions itself, but how to complete common mixing tasks in logic while using some of the features most commonly used in any mix. David explains how to go about a mix very well and I highly recommend this course!
Been watching since Logic Pro X 101 and this is just another one in the hole for me, great set of courses guys.
OK course - definitely not meant for EDM producers or for new Logic users. MPV should not label this a 100 level course since it assumes the viewer is intimately familiar with Logic's features/functionality.
Probably one of the best and most complete mixing courses available. I know Dave since the sflogicninja on you tube, and he knows everything about logic. A lot of useful and important information here. You shouldn't miss this one, if you're serious about mixing.
Another great course by David Earl, I learned quite a bit from this course, especially for increasing workflow and productivity!
Terrific course. No time wasted. Heaps of practical tips and tools for anyone using logic. Watch, absorb, enjoy! :)
MPV has excellent trainers, David Earl in my book is the best of the best, with a concise, clear teaching style that kept me entertained from beginning to end. There is so much good info in this module, It's a must do twice.
Great tutorial overall. This mixing stuff was pretty basic, and would be great if you are new to the field. I found the automation topics to be very helpful, though!
This sure beats the hell out of reading a manual. Applies to everything on this site.
David Earl is becoming one of my favorite teachers on MPV. He not only teaches Logic Pro. But many universal techniques for mixing. Plus what the plug-ins are representing in the "real world" This is the first time I noticed this. I never noticed this in the Pro-tools sessions I took. Maybe I didn't take the right ones. But anyway, David's clear, friendly, never condescending. Would have loved to have had him as a mentor earlier in my career.
Ok, neck on the line. This has been the very best course I have studied with MPV so far. It combines depth and clarity with great presentation and I have learned so much. Highly recommended. I'll be getting Logic Pro X as soon as my new iMac arrives (my current one has lasted 6 years) and I can't wait to begin playing with some of these ideas. Cheers Dave! Also, the track being worked on was lovely.
Its alright. I cannot say its an incredible course. It does offer a lot of useful techniques. Why I didn't like it as much: a lot of the times the titles of the videos do not correspond 100% to the content of the videos, so if you want to come back to them later, it would be quite difficult to find some things. And also some topics are not so well covered, don't remember which ones exactly. They offer some information, but not enough in my opinion. But still a course worth taking in my opinion.
Very good instructor, his voice was easy to listen too and gave lots of useful information. I like how he went through everything step by step and showed how to create a mix from start to finish.
What a brilliant course, so far one of the best in the website. If you manage to watch the whole thing you'll be amazed by the end of it, so much knowledge that he's sharing here.
This course is very clear, the teacher does a great job of putting key points on messages so you can pause and take notes if needed. It is a lot to digest but I've taken lots of breaks and made sure to stop when I can't retain anymore but WOW this is going to take my music to another level.
A great tutorial - been using Logic for years, but always been too busy to really explore the depths - well now I have an improved workflow I will have so much more spare time - thanks!
Logic Ninja ALWAYS opens your mind to the possibilities!! Great gig MacPro!!!
I've been a fan of SFLogicNinja's tutorials since his YouTube days. This tutorial maintains his high level in every way. Packed with tips, hints and information even for an experienced Logic User. I will need to go back to this course many times to revise all the little things I missed on my first pass. Highly recommended.
You'll definitely pick up a few new little tips and tricks in regards to mixing for this video. Loved the use of binaural panning.
I found a lot of useful tips in this tutorial, things I never would've thought of. I look forward to more of David's Logic tutorials.
A great course for reiterating lots of mixing techniques and shortcuts within logic. Delivered with friendly confidence by David Earl. I liked it a lot.
Yes some very practical skill on show here! You really cant got wrong with these tutorials I only slightly disagreed with some of the advise but all in all a very good tutorial!
Fantastic. David spares no punches in revealing the vast amount of mixing potential that can be extracted from LPX. I've learnt so much; and definitely will be watching this again as a guide. #goodtimes
Really love this course, I learned some nice new things I didn't know before, both on mixing as on using Logic X. Only minus is that the voice over is very loud compared to the music. I am turning up the volume to hear the music correctly, but have to turn it down again when David is speaking.
Some great tricks of the trade in this course. Can't wait for the next one.
Great Course. Get's into the nuts and bolts of mixing without getting too technical re the science or mathematics. Really good hands on example rather than working with a 'pre-polished' track. It would be great to see an 'advanced mixing-tips and tricks' and a Mastering course by Mr Earl!
awesome job david. your teaching style takes learning to a whole new level. looking forward to more LPX from you.
Great Course with lots of tips on the mechanics and workflow of mixing in Logic Pro X. Would recommend it to anyone who has experience mixing but needs to get up and running quickly with the tools available in Logic Pro X. Definitely will be coming back to this one.
Overall this course is very good. For a novice such as myself I like it best when everything is verbally explained , even the location of the selection area and any modifier keys. This, however, is probably boring for the intermediate/advanced producer. I was torn between rewinding sections and just letting them play through, so I would eventually get through all 48 videos. There is no way I will remember all of this to go work in a project. However, I will at least remember learning about a topic in the video, and can go back and review sections as I am working on a project. I doubt I will be able to apply all of it to my next project, but hopefully I will get more familiar the more I use the program.
Great course but what is the song?? David - awesome job, but you forgot to name the artist and song that you're working on, something that seems standard for these types of videos!
To be fair I haven't watched everything thoroughly yet, but I've been waiting on this video for weeks and my wish has been granted! You guys at macProVideo are damn legends and this video delivers as this site IS the forefront of educating people like myself. Miles ahead of any other resource. Logic Pro ftw I'm glad I didn't get trapped in a different DAW. Can't say enough I love ya'll you are a gift to the world!
