There are some great workflow tips here, like the title promises, but the real gem in here, in my opinion are the videos about compression. I never knew the different types you can choose in the logic compressor could make such a difference. The best are the videos on parallel compression, it's quite a hyped subject I think, but Olav shows us what it really is all about. (Also great for non-logic users.)

I've been using Logic since the way back days when it was called Vision. Then Studio Vision and so on. I consider myself a working professional using this software and think I'm pretty good and fast with it. But viewing this course and watching Olaf, I received more than a couple, real palm to forehead moments saying "of Course!!" So thanks Olaf.. yer a good man in a tight corner.

Thank you Olav! A very smooth script with lots of musical examples. I did learn quite a lot. Thank you.

More in-depth and precise look at mixing electronica. Lot's of standard tips and tricks here that you'll use wether you're a complete newbie or a more experienced Logic user. Excellent.

Very nice. That's what you call real tips and better tricks. Thanks.

Olav is an absolute genius. The Electronica Workflow Tricks course is filled with so much info that i'd be coming back to it as a reference until I'm good enough and then some. I've made major strides

Even while going thru Olav's Electronica Workflow Tricks course, my workflow's seen a dramatic increase. And it's not just about flow, there's tricks on Compression, Filtering, EQing, Distortion, etc.

I couldn't help but come back with another review on Olav's Electronica Workflow Tricks course. I just learnt stuff about the marquee tool that I didn't know it could do. Fantastico. More stars needed

Just finished the EQ tricks in Electronica Workflow Tricks course. It's pretty evident that Olav is a genius at what he does; & I've learnt so much about EQs, my tracks already way better and crispier

Best Video Yet!!! So many helpful workflow tips and creative ideas in these tutorials...

wooooow i'm just surpise about compressor ! and your workflow, thanks a lot now it's clear to me..

This is a great bag of TNT for anybody producing music with Logic Pro 9. This is a must watch for anyone who wants to spend more time in creative mode. A lot of options and solutions for speeding up workflow. Don't be fooled by the title... This tutorial will benefit Logic users working in any genre.

Lots of hidden hints within hints. Well presented material and delivered with entertaining humour. I keep referring back to it - have lots of little bookmarks and notes. Worth the money.

Great material, kinda jumps around, but very helpful.

Many thanks for the useful, overview tricks to Olav. This tutorial ist a must to speed up your workflow with logic

A simply stunning, no non-sense tutorial that should be required viewing for anyone looking to fine tune their skills while speeding up production. Great pace, informative and most importantly - effective. The "Automation Burning" is duo is my personal fav. Five start for one of the Godfather's of house/electronica.

Great tricks and tips, very interesting and useful things !!!

I am still a Logic Pro 8 user, and I am still about a half way through the tutorials, but already just about every section had something I can use and work on the LP8. So far I really liked the Ringing EQ Technique, and also very clear explanations of all of the Compressor types a d good uses. The compressor section should not be missed! Look forward for more from Olav.

Hell yeah! It's so nice to have a no nonsense guided tour of a true pro's workflow in Electronica. It's pretty easy to like Olav's attitude and although it should be superficial... his voice and accent just make it more enjoyable to plow through some fairly meaty concepts in record time. I can't believe the difference between the track I just finished vs. the track I did just before getting Olav's point of view.

A must-see, must-get tutorial. Very warm presentation and clear, musical approach kept throughout. Cool voice too.

Wow, I was surprised at what I didn't know about compressors, limiters, automation, workflow and so much more! I love the way Olav demonstrates his stuff, he's a natural teacher. I can fully recommend this training module - go for it!

Fantastic! Lots of great tricks and examples, great in-depth look at compressors... highly recommended.

I just saved myself hours in my daily workflow with this tutorial. Not only that, all of the compressor tutorials have helped me take my mixes to another level. FYI, I don't do electronica music, but after watching the sample videos, I felt these tips could be applied to Pop and Hip-Hop music as well.

Superb, your explanation of compressors was fantastic and frankly, your overall approach is one of practicality and clear common sense. I really enjoyed the Compressor tricks and exploration. So far, you have provided the best in depth explanation of the Logic selection of compressors I've found thus far. thanks for that.

I really enjoyed this tutorial. If like me, purchasing third party plugins can be a bit of an expense that you can't afford right now, then this tutorial will really help you to utilize Logics plugins, especially compression.

I have 19 tutorials from macprovideo so not everything in this was new. But a lot of it was. I was hoping there would be even more workflow tips like those given in the preview videos. Quick little shortucts is what i was expecting. But it actually felt more like a TNT series in that it went over a lot of creative things rather than just ways to get around the program. I don't do this style of music so this wasn't as useful for me, but still informative. I definitely recommend it. It is well taught.

Hey Olav, you did it again! I'm gettin' it down. Can' t wait till the next one!

Like a number of other reviewers I found this tutorial excellent. Having only recently started using Logic I found the workflow tips extremely useful and relevant to my style of music production. Olav's presentation style is both educational and inspirational. Full marks, another quality tutorial product.

This is exactly the type of tutorial I've been needing! Packed with loads of great workflow techniques and tips on ways to make tracks sound PHAT! Olav lays it down clearly and quickly, getting straight to the point...which is what I should be doing right now...Fantastic! 5 stars and roll on volume 2!

I echo all of these reviews... Olav's tutorial is rich with real-world useful techniques that transcend the Logic platform and teach us how great recordings are made. This is one I am constantly going back to. Nice job, Olav!

Another great tutorial from Olav and the explanation of things is excellent for both the beginner and experienced viewer. Olav really is great at doing these tutorials and makes them fun to watch. My only niggle would be that the audio quality of the tutorials sounds slightly distorted to me compared to the other ones I have bought so for this reason only I give it a 4 star rather than the 5 it deserves.

Absolutely Amazing. A wealth of experience and information to improve not only your workflow, but your overall sound / mixes. I find myself watching many of the videos repeatedly and really look forward to more!!!

Great tips and tricks , can't wait for more tutorials.

This is an essence of Logic knowledge. Olav is giving away a masterclass in making things happen. It almost seems like magic to me when he gains a momentum and I have to pause, rewind and watch again to make sure he is for real. You can watch it over and over again it is like a great movie. Invaluable, not to be missed and great fun. Thank You!

Fantastic video! I mainly use Logic for mixing and know it very well, but Olav introduced me to several tips that will save me a ton of time. I can't wait for the next installment.

Olav does it again! A set of fantastic tips and tricks using Logic. I've been using for a while now and this tutorial has been so helpful. Can't wait for the next installment. Love to see reverb, delay tips and tricks. Buildups, white noise sweeps, etc. 10/10

Olav is natural at instructing; he is a really good teacher. A boat load of tips!

Incredible value for the wisdom he imparts - unconditionally recommended and I am looking forward to more!

This is the first instalment of this series of tutorials and i have already found a few good tips and tricks. cant wait for the next instalment.

Great tuts from Olav again. What i do like is the calmness and clearity in his voice when he explains things. Very good to follow him in that manner. Can't wait to see the rest of the tips from this dutch producer !

I just finished watching Olav's new masterpiece and it is fantastic. Lot's of great tips and tricks for every Logic user. Don't be misled by the the word "Electronica" in the title this tutorial transcends genre... my only regret is that I didn't create this masterpiece. :) ... great job Mr. Basoski!

Can't wait to see the rest of the tutorials! Every tricks are useful, and already incorporated in my workflow. Chapter 3 is definitively the best for me.

I love all the Logic tutorials. However Olav's have been especially useful for me. I think partly because Olav's sound as a producer & dj is very similar to mine. Every workflow tip and technique he has discussed I have been able to instantly incorporate into my workflow. I loved his first tutorial. Plus I like what I have seen so far of this one... I am excited to see the rest of this tutorial as it become available.

Hi Just purchased the new Logic 406: Olav's Electronica Workflow Tricks. And I have to say it's another winner. From the simple but imformative use of low cut, high cut and surgical eq of the first chapter. To the impressive insight into the often overlooked marquee tool in the second chapter-which has to make everyones life within Logic so much easier and quicker! But the third chapter is essential viewing for anyone who has trouble grasping the fundamentals of compression. With individual segments on each setting within Logic's built in compressor. This is the kind of information that will instantly bring your dance tracks to life! Olav comes across as a very natural presenter And you have to love his witty style! An excellent follow up to the 404: Mixing electronica. Perfect for anyone just starting out with Logic - although even seasoned pro's will get something from these tutorials. Can't wait for next months installment.
