MainStage 2 is the live performance tool that ships with Logic Studio. If you're a musician, and particularly a keyboardist, MainStage 2 will become your new secret weapon …

Good course, I have the most recent version of Main Stage 2 and some things seem different but that wasn't an issue.
Great tutorial! Very cool that Mr. Burgess had the experience of working with Apple on Mainstage, so right off the bat this gives him credibility. Indeed, this was an extremely informative tutorial, taking me from having no idea how to use Mainstage, to now setting it up with my GiO and developing a rig for myself. But beyond all this, what made this tutorial stand out was Bill's presenting style. He levels with the non-geek, and has a really good, dry sense of humor. Several times I found myself laughing out loud at his quirky remarks. Thank you!
Very good tutoria thank youl. Can I suggest that you show how to operate two keyboards simultaneously with " independent" sounds. This is fantastic feature of mainstage and as a keyboardist very useful to know. Whilst the tutorial does show how to hook up multiplel devices it does not demonstrate how to assign independent voices to each devices. I just think this would be worth showing.
A tutorial that is thorough and yet entertaining. Bill is both geek and gigging musician (at least that's how he comes across). His explanations are easy to understand and he knows the program well enough to tell you not only what to do, but what not to do, what could cause problems etc. Now I can still be low-tech while Mainstage makes people think I am hi-tech-and I can concentrate on the playing. Great job...
Great videos. Really quick way to get into the programme. Buy this and you will not regret it. I hope there will be a follow up video package for advanced.
I really love the content of this course. The instructor is both informative and entertaining. The material is in-depth. I would give this 5 stars only on the versions that can be viewed on PC's and Mac's. There is a current problem with ios5 and the player. I understand that the fix for this is coming soon.
A pesar de que no domino mucho el ingles, no es problema entenderlo. Ojalá en un futuro estuviera en español Un excelente Tutorial,..lo recomiendo de todas maneras
Bill does a great job of explaining Mainstage 2, covering material, tips, tricks and practical examples which enabled me to get Mainstage up and running in a live performance last night. Comments from the audience were all positive. Thanks Bill, excellent work!
Finally - MainStage 101 does more than teach the basics. I found Bill's style of teaching excellent as he shares many tips that help simplify using MainStage 2. I am looking forward to 201.
Very good tutorial. Thanx a lot!!
Thanks Bill, this is another great example of a well rounded trainer at work.
Great explaination of all the software features, this tutorial is a must! But for next tutorials i suggest to avoid that "confessional" style of voice, just a little bit of enthusiam! Thank You.
This program has me so excited to perform live as a solo act. Bill Burgess is simply hilarious. Can't wait to use the loopback and playback functions. Curious about the markers from logic. I look forward to growing with mainstage. What a wonderful program. Thanks guys!
What could be better than to have one of Apple's developers of Logic and Mainstage walk you through the software. Bill's great at letting you know how the software thinks and offers a lot of Apple interface knowledge as well. I have been on a Mac since 1989 and thought I knew most of it. He also offers hardware interface solutions which is key to having the software work for you rather than you work for the software in an onstage live situation.
Another Bill Burgess highlight! Humourous, informative and perfectly presented. If you are using MainStage 2 this tutorial is a must. Thank you Bill.
I bought the First Mainstage (version 1) Tutorials and found them extremely useful and Bill has a great voice and sense of humor. So I was a bit hesitant to buy this one but I can truly say i am not disappointed one bit. There are about 5 hours of information here and I am finding as Mainstage 2 is resonibly different to MS1 that we are not just running over mostly what has been taught before. Right from the start there are tons of interesting tips and tricks and insights into how to get the most out of MS2. It is even better than the MS1 tutorials and thats saying alot. I have learned alot and am only 1/2 way through and it is just getting better and better. Highly recommended. Bill is my favorite tutorial making here. Grab it you wont be disappointed
