selected clip, nudged

selected edit point

Inserted Backstory

Connected Backstory

Playhead Position

Placeholder

Disabled Clips

Full Screen

Command - Shift - F

The Playhead positioned

A recommendation: if you're going to be typing a lot of timecodes, swap Move Playhead Position from Control-P to the "=" key. The numeric keypad then becomes a very quick way to jump to any timecode.

I was wondering how you can select edges in the new final cut x (V in the old final cut anyone...) that is so useful when you have to work fast. To select both edges you just have to press \ and it will select both edges, which is useful when you want to trim.... etc.

Also for projects when you really need time code( and we really do need:) ) in the event list, after you ved selected your clip hit ctrl + p, put your time code, hit enter, then hit I for in, then ctrl+p again, hit your time code for out and then O for out and you have your area that you need marked. After that you can put a star, send it to timeline... etc

Some hints for final cut x users.

Enjoy

Use ; to jump to the previous edit and ' to jump to the next edit. \ to select both edit points or { and } to select just the in or out as required. There all packed together in the same corner of the keyboard. Though I did like using V and U in FCP 7.
