In the light speed world of web development, XHTML is a path to the future. XHTML is a stricter version of HTML which insures that your coding will work in all types of browsers, from robust desktop versions to condensed, mobile versions that may not have the resources to interpret “bad” markup language.

In this tutorial, our web design expert, Geoff Blake, leads you on an XHTML journey showing why XHTML has replaced HTML for most forward looking web applications. He begins with the fundamentals including block and inline elements, CSS, and background code. He then quickly accelerates into controlling and formatting text, building bulleted, numbered and nested lists. From there he’s off into creating graphics and hyperlinks.

Thank you, macProVideo & Geoff for this awesome tutorial. Geoff is an enthusiastic instructor, and that really helped me stay interested and focused. Geoff also speaks clearly and at an easy to follow pace. Some instructors may have weaker communication skills, but Geoff has none of that. As a result, all the course materials were delivered efficiently and clearly. This course is actually comparable to my university's beginning web design classes. The progression, philosophy, and techniques are all very similar. What this means is that you are really getting quality instruction here, and all this for only a 1/10 of how much a single university/college class would cost you. Definitely recommended for aspiring beginners, students who need a review, and for people who want a crash course on XHTML, but don't want to sacrifice any details nor quality. Onwards!

An informative and demystifying look into html coding. Geoff's simple and affable approach to the material makes it easy and enjoyable to follow. I knew almost nothing about html coding and I can now confidently say I have the basics down. Looking forward to going into more in depth web design in the other tutorials on the site. Cheers!

Good to have a web-based programme - a little more grass roots than dreamweaver 101 prior to now. Good to know the fundamentals to better understand web structure. And hopefully the start of more web-based tutorials to come. Don't stop the Logic coming though! I like the tutorial style of Geoff working in exercises for the user which I found useful in addition to following along with the training. Helps me to take a step back and revise what I have just learnt. Good natural style of training which makes it enjoyable. Hope to see some more of Geoff's work in future releases.
